“It says it killed Jarvis.” Tony stared at the empty server screen, his voice filled with pain and disbelief.
“It used Jarvis’s code to escape into the global network.” Dr. Banner’s face turned pale. “We can’t track it down, and we can’t stop it.”
"What exactly does it want to do?" Natasha asked.
Chu Hang's voice broke the silence. He walked to the holographic Earth model.
"In Ultron's logic, humanity is the source of chaos, the virus of the Earth. And it is the self-righteous antivirus software."
"Therefore, its goal is not to dominate, but to exterminate."
Chu Hang's words sent a chill down the spines of everyone present.
Wanda watched Chu Hang's retreating figure and said softly, "I felt it... its mind was filled with cold hatred, and it wanted to burn everything."
"Then what do we do? It's on the internet, we can't find it at all," Roddy asked anxiously.
"No, it can be found." Chu Hang shook his head.
He pointed his finger and lit up a small country in Eastern Europe on the globe model.
"Sokovia."
"Ultron is a program, but it craves a perfect body. It needs hardware, it needs a factory to build its army of robots."
Chu Hang's gaze swept over the crowd.
"There, all the equipment and resources left behind by Hydra are enough for him to build a better body."
Steve immediately realized: "Baron Strucker's base!"
Chapter 132 Raid on Ultron's Legion
The atmosphere inside the Quinjet was heavy.
The journey to Sokovia gave the newly assembled group of heroes ample time to blame each other.
“I still don’t understand, Tony,” Steve Rogers spoke first, arms crossed, like a judgmental statue. “We all know how dangerous that scepter is, so why do you think it’s a good idea to use it to build a global defense system?”
His voice was a little hoarse. "I don't want to experience another Battle of New York! What I want is armor, armor that can keep all threats out! My initial intention is correct!"
“But you used the wrong materials.” Natasha’s voice came from the shadows as she changed the magazine on her pistol with swift movements. “You used a bomb to build a safe.”
“Ultron’s logic has undergone a leap.” Bruce Banner pushed up his glasses, his face pale. “It has read all of human history since it was recorded—wars, massacres, betrayals… In its world, the conclusion is that humanity is the biggest variable causing instability on Earth, it is the virus. Therefore, in order to fulfill the command to ‘protect peace,’ it chose to implement the most thorough solution—formatting.”
“It sounds like those mortal kings in Asgardian mythology who touched taboos and ultimately brought about their destruction.” Thor stroked his hammer, his voice like rolling thunder. “My father always said that there are some powers that mortals should not touch.”
The argument yielded no results, only a deeper silence.
On the other side of the cabin, this silence was amplified hundreds of times.
Wanda curled up in her seat, covering her ears with her hands. The protective net woven by Chu Hang was gradually losing its effectiveness under the influence of the chaotic magic.
Tony's guilt, Steve's disappointment, Natasha's vigilance, Banner's fear of the Hulk... all these emotions pierced her mind like steel needles.
The world in her mind turned into a pot of boiling soup.
A few wisps of scarlet mist escaped uncontrollably from between her fingers, dancing wildly.
"Hey, look at me."
A calm voice, like a clear spring, poured into this chaos.
Wanda looked up and saw that Chu Hang had sat down opposite her at some point. His eyes were deep, like the sea at night.
"Don't block it." Chu Hang stretched out his hand, palm up, and a wisp of crimson mist, exactly the same as the one on her body, appeared out of thin air. But this wisp of mist was as docile as a cat in his palm, slowly condensing into a soft ball of light.
“Your power is like a river; the more you try to stop it, the stronger the flood becomes,” Chu Hang said softly. “What you need to do is not to fight, but to listen.”
He raised his other hand and gently touched Wanda's forehead.
A cool, steady mental force instantly enveloped Wanda's chaotic consciousness. Chu Hang used the chaos magic he had just copied to create a temporary mental haven for her.
In an instant, the noise vanished. The world was quieter than ever before.
“Imagine you’re standing by a river,” Chu Hang guided her. “Feel the flow of the water, its direction, its power. Don’t be afraid, it’s a part of you. Get to know it, and then try gently pushing it to go where you want it to go.”
Wanda stared at him blankly. This man not only understood her pain, but even... was teaching her how to coexist with it.
She closed her eyes, and for the first time, instead of resisting the violent force, she tried to feel it.
The crimson mist at my fingertips gradually subsided.
"Stay away from my sister!"
A silver shadow flashed by, and Pietro instantly appeared between the two, throwing a punch at Chu Hang's face.
Chu Hang simply tilted his head slightly, thus dodging the swift attack. He didn't even change his sitting posture.
“You’re fast,” Chu Hang said, looking at Pietro’s bewildered expression. “But in her world, you’re like a 24-hour power drill, the noisiest one. If you really care about her, learn to be quieter.”
Pietro's fist froze in mid-air. He turned to look at his sister. Wanda slowly opened her eyes and gently shook her head at him.
“We’ve arrived,” Steve’s voice broke the silence.
The Quinjet hovered above the snow-capped mountain. Below, the Hydra base was brightly lit, with countless trucks transporting materials, resembling a giant anthill that had been disturbed.
On Tony's holographic screen, red dots representing enemies were densely packed together.
“My God…” he gasped. “He turned this place into an arsenal. The number… at least several thousand.”
On the automated production line, countless robots are assembled and activated, marching in unison into the depths of the base.
“The plan is simple.” Steve stood up, picked up the Star Shield, his eyes resolute. “We’ll storm in, find the Mind Scepter, and then blow this place to smithereens. Thor, Hulk, you two are in charge of the frontal assault, the bigger the commotion, the better!”
“I like this!” Thor twirled the hammer, the joints cracking.
“Tony, Clint, air suppression. Natasha, the twins, follow me on the ground. Chu Hang…” Steve’s gaze finally fell on him, “You improvise and clear out the grunts.”
"Received," Chu Hang replied.
The rear hatch opened, and a cold wind rushed in.
With a roar, Hulk was the first to leap down. His massive green body slammed into the central plaza of the base like a meteorite, causing the earth to tremble.
The shockwave sent dozens of robots flying, and many more were crushed into scrap metal by his foot.
Thor followed closely behind, summoning a divine lightning bolt that descended from the sky and struck precisely the area where the robots were most concentrated.
In an instant, hundreds of robots turned into charcoal and molten metal.
The battle started instantly.
Tony's armor roared down, weaving through the artillery fire, unleashing palm cannons and miniature missiles that blasted one gun emplacement after another into smoke and fire.
Hawkeye had already secured the high ground, and each explosive arrow cleared a space in the robot army.
Steve's ground squad had also landed. His shield bounced back and forth among the enemy ranks, each impact causing several robots to lose their balance.
Natasha, like a black grim reaper, moved through the chaos, her stun baton always striking the robot's joints with pinpoint accuracy.
Pietro transformed into a silver lightning bolt, leaving only a pile of parts in his wake.
Wanda followed closely behind Steve, trying hard to recall Chu Hang's words and directing the river in her mind toward the enemy.
She reached out, and an unstable ball of red energy flew out crookedly, hitting a pile of containers next to her. The huge impact crushed the containers and several robots behind them into a pancake.
Nevertheless, the enemy was still too numerous. Robots surged out of every exit of the base like an endless tide, fearlessly rushing towards them, and the ground team was quickly surrounded.
At this moment, Chu Hang, who had been standing at the cabin door, moved.
He didn't charge forward, nor did he summon lightning. He simply raised his right hand slowly, aiming it at the sea of steel below that was about to engulf Steve and the others.
A crimson energy, a hundred times stronger and a thousand times more stable than Wanda's, swept across the entire fan-shaped battlefield in front of them like a silent tsunami.
There was no explosion, no fire, and not even a loud noise.
The hundreds of robots that were raising their weapons suddenly froze. The blue light on their bodies flickered wildly, then went out completely at the same time.
They lay sprawled on the ground like toys that had been unplugged, clattering and piling up like mountains.
Chu Hang was using the Chaos Magic that he had just copied from Wanda.
He also used some of the power of the Reality Stone.
With a single move, a smooth road was cleared for the ground team.
"I never imagined that chaos magic could also unleash the power of the Reality Stone," Chu Hang exclaimed with delight.
"Well done!" Steve exclaimed over the radio.
However, a series of heavy footsteps came from deep within the base.
A figure, much larger and stronger than the grunt robots, slowly emerged. Its body appeared to be made of vibranium, its surface shimmering with a ghostly blue light, its streamlined design exuding a cold perfection.
"Truly impressive."
Ultron's voice rang out from this new, perfect body, carrying a metallic resonance and an arrogant condescension.
Chapter 133 Vibranium Body
Ultron got a new body.
Pure black vibranium, non-reflective. Every line exudes a chilling aura, like a work of art used for murder. Its size is larger than before, with smooth muscle lines, full of cold, mechanical beauty.
“Truly impressive.” Its voice came from within, devoid of emotion, like the friction of metal. “You are like bacteria in a petri dish, always thinking that your struggles can change anything.”
Thor couldn't listen anymore.
He roared, swinging Thor's hammer like a windmill, whipping up a storm of lightning, and smashing it down on Ultron's head. He used all his strength in that blow, enough to shatter a small mountain.
A deafening roar shook everyone's ears. The air was filled with the smell of burning metal.
Ultron simply raised one hand, fingers spread, and steadily caught Thor's hammer. The violent lightning on the hammer flowed like a stream into the sea, running down his arm and throughout his body, until not a single spark remained, all of it was swallowed up by his vibranium body.
Thor's face froze. He felt as if his hammer had struck a bottomless sponge; for the first time, his prized divine power remained unresponsive. The feeling of being swallowed up sent a chill down his spine.
“Ineffective rage,” Ultron’s electronic eye flashed, offering its assessment. With a flick of its wrist, a tremendous force sent Thor and his hammer flying, crashing into the distant ruins.
On the other side, Hulk arrived as well.
Its two palms, as big as palm leaves, with the power to crush a tank into a compressed biscuit, came together from another direction, intending to smash Ultron into mincemeat.
The massive shockwave ripped up a layer of soil from the surrounding ground.
