Chapter 42 Encountering a Ghost?
Chapter 42 Encountering a Ghost?
Back home, Uchiha Yoh found the paper and pen she had bought and began working on her manga masterpiece.
In one night, she had only written ten pages.
"I'm so tired!"
"I'll just use it to kill time from now on!"
She yawned and put the things away.
After washing up and meditating to circulate his energy through his meridians, he then headed to the training ground.
"It's another beautiful day."
Uchiha Ye hummed a little tune and skipped towards the training ground.
Today, she wore two little braids tied with ribbons, and her clothes matched perfectly. She was cute yet elegant, a truly beautiful sight, completely forgetting that she was supposed to be going for a cool and aloof look.
Her attire left Itachi Uchiha somewhat stunned.
"Ye is getting prettier and prettier."
A sudden, overwhelming sense of crisis rose within him.
"Itachi, we've started training. What are you daydreaming about?"
Uchiha Ye tilted his head and asked, somewhat puzzled.
"Coming right away," Itachi replied quickly, jogging over.
Uchiha Yo was already used to this.
Time always flies when you're practicing, and it's time to say goodbye again.
"It seems like things could continue like this."
Uchiha Yoru had a feeling that she wanted to grow old with Itachi, but she quickly dismissed the idea.
"If she returns to reality one day, wouldn't Itachi be very lonely? It's better not to do such a despicable thing."
She felt a contradiction in herself, "Let it be!"
Itachi went home early today, while Uchiha Ye trained until almost dark before packing up to go home.
The previous campsite had long been moved to the basement she had set up in the Death Forest, where a spirit clone was watching over it.
On his way back, Uchiha Ha decided to take a different route on a whim and, quite unfortunately, got lost.
"This looks like a cemetery, we should leave as soon as possible."
As she turned to leave, she seemed to see something and took a few steps forward to look at it.
"Who is so heartless as to destroy even the flowers used for offering sacrifices?"
With a slight movement of her hand, she gathered up the scattered petals and branches on the ground, then launched a fireball that burned them to ashes.
He then used magic to create another flower, placed it in front of the stone tablet, and glanced at the name on it.
"Nohara Rin!"
"The terrible state of the flowers on the ground just now must have been Obito Uchiha's doing."
Uchiha Yo's heart suddenly tightened.
"That guy shouldn't be here anymore!"
"That's not right. She's at the Foundation Establishment stage now. What's there to be afraid of? If she can't beat them, she can just run away."
Uchiha Yoh possessed a strange kind of self-confidence at this moment.
However, thinking this way made her feel much more relaxed, but she still felt a strange sense of tension.
"Let's leave first!"
She walked much faster than usual, turning around and leaving the area.
"Sizzle..."
Suddenly a loud noise startled Uchiha Yoru.
"Who, who's there..."
After a long time, no one responded.
"Could it be a ghost?!"
The thought of this possibility made Uchiha Ye's heart tighten, and he turned and ran.
"It's best not to provoke something you can't see or understand."
As she ran, she used her brainwaves to send a message to her spirit clone, instructing 'her' to practice the 'Heavenly Thunder Technique' first.
That way, you won't be afraid of ghosts anymore.
"Whoops..."
Uchiha Ye ran wildly without looking where he was going and crashed straight into someone.
"Could it be that they've encountered a ghost? Otherwise, why would anyone come here so late at night?"
Ignoring the pain in her head, she opened her eyes and looked ahead.
The moon was very bright tonight, and when she saw the man's shadow, her tense heart immediately relaxed.
"Big brother, people scaring others at night can be terrifying," she said, somewhat annoyed.
A boy wearing a Konoha headband, who looked to be only a teenager, scratched his head, his tone slightly apologetic, "Sorry, I didn't mean to. I just had time to come over in the evening."
“I see. Then it was my fault. But I suggest you don’t go there now. There’s a ghost there,” Uchiha Ye said softly in his ear, glancing around before standing on tiptoe.
This was the first time Obito had been so close to another woman besides Rin, and he inexplicably felt a little nervous, stammering as he asked, "A demon... what's a demon..."
"You don't even know this? It's what people's souls become after they die!"
Uchiha Ye looked at him as if he were an idiot.
"That's all I have to say. If you still want to go, there's nothing I can do."
After Uchiha Ye finished speaking, he turned to leave, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the kid was actually walking over, so he quickly grabbed him.
"Are you really going to go and die?!"
"Ghosts are invisible and intangible; even if you're a ninja, you can't deal with them."
"Sweetie, listen to your sister's advice."
She tried to persuade him again, but seeing that he was unmoved, she simply let go.
Uchiha Yoh's actions and words made Obito feel as if he were seeing Rin, and a ray of light seemed to shine through a crack in his dark heart.
By the time he realized what was happening, the person had already run far away.
Just then, a person with completely white hair appeared at his feet. "Obito, doesn't that person look a lot like Rin...?"
"Obito..."
When White Zetsu saw that Obito didn't react, he shouted again.
"Shut up and hurry up," Obito Uchiha suddenly said, sounding somewhat annoyed.
He hadn't been gone long when he noticed someone secretly following him, but thankfully White Zetsu retreated back into the ground.
This person was naturally Uchiha Yoru, who had run away and then returned. She remembered that there were no ghosts or monsters in the Naruto world, and now she wanted to see who was pretending to be a ghost.
"Big brother, wait for me, I'll go with you."
Obito turned his head in confusion, "What's this?"
"I just remembered a saying: the ghost you fear might be the person someone else is longing for."
"Thinking about it this way, it's not so scary after all."
"I suppose you're like that!"
Uchiha Ye had already prepared an excuse on his way here.
Her words sent a jolt through Obito Uchiha.
"By the way, my name is Uchiha Ye. What's your name?" she asked in a very familiar manner.
"My name is Fei, very Fei."
"Not? Thank goodness it's not Tobi," Uchiha Ye muttered to himself, and didn't think about it any further.
The bright moonlight shone on the two of them, creating a rather picturesque scene.
The two didn't talk much along the way, but they did exchange a few words.
Unfortunately, the ghost from the cemetery did not appear, which disappointed her somewhat.
After the two left and came to the street, Uchiha Ye said goodbye, "Fei, I'm going home first, you should go home early too."
"Ye, thank you for keeping me company earlier. Can I treat you to a meal?"
Uchiha Ye initially wanted to refuse, but noticing a hint of expectation in his eyes, he agreed.
Thinking of the person he had just worshipped, he understood.
"There's nothing we can do. The author of the Naruto world is inhuman. Nine out of ten ninjas are miserable, and the tenth is still on his way."
Just as she was about to walk towards the street, she seemed to notice something and quickly helped an elderly woman who was about to fall.
