Chapter 94 Hanzo
Chapter 94 Hanzo
Chapter 94 Hanzo
The next day, early in the morning.
Tsunade clearly didn't sleep well.
Minato, however, was full of energy. With his physique, he wouldn't be affected even if he didn't sleep for several days.
That brat—
Watching Minato lightly tapping his ninja tools, preparing to depart for a mission, Tsunade gritted her teeth inwardly.
Perhaps due to the atmosphere last night, the two exchanged many unspeakable thoughts through their chakra connection.
The scale of the scandal is so extreme that its release would be enough to cause her social death, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she would be cast into the deepest hell after her death.
Tsunade never imagined that she, who always had a fiery temper, would be so submissive, as if she had lost herself and was trying to please the other person without any limits.
And her disciple, who was gentle, kind, and polite, actually acted so aggressively.
She's become like the weather in the Land of Rain—
"Teacher, we're leaving."
"Okay, be careful."
Before leaving, Minato said goodbye to Tsunade.
Both spoke naturally, but they both knew in their hearts that their relationship, and even their status, had completely changed.

After leaving the camp, Minato, who was the fastest, led the way at the front of the group, while Mikoto and Nawaki guarded the flanks behind them. Orochimaru brought up the rear of the group, and the four of them sped off toward Amegakure.
After advancing for about half an hour, a sudden whooshing sound came from the air.
Minato flicked several shuriken, deflecting the kunai that were hurtling towards him.
"The ninjas of Konoha!"
A group of Amegakure ninja appeared ahead of the road, watching Minato and his companions warily.
"Don't misunderstand, we are envoys sent by Konoha."
Minato stepped aside, and Orochimaru took two steps forward, saying calmly, "I am Orochimaru, a disciple of the Third Hokage. I am here on the orders of the Hokage to negotiate with Lord Hanzo."
"messenger?"
Looking at the three brats beside Orochimaru, the leader of the Rain Ninja frowned: "You only sent these few kids? Isn't Konoha being a bit too arrogant?"
"Your Excellency has misunderstood; they are my subordinates and disciples."
Orochimaru chuckled and said, "This just goes to show Konoha's sincerity. After all, I can't exactly bring three children here for a suicide attack, can I?"
"Hmph, you have a point."
The other party opened the scroll and glanced at it, finding it to be just an ordinary document. Dispelling his doubts, he returned the scroll to Orochimaru and beckoned, "Come with me."
With the ninjas from Amegakure leading the way, the rest of the journey was relatively peaceful.
Soon, the group arrived outside Amegakure Village.
Amegakure is located in the heart of the Land of Rain, where rainfall is far greater than that at the border.
However, unlike the unpleasant, sticky drizzle at the Konoha camp, the rain in Amegakure was much more unrestrained, as if someone had poked a hole in the sky, with the rain pouring down incessantly.
The village is filled with tall steel buildings, with sky bridges running through them, and huge drainage pipes exposed on the exterior of each building.
Colorful neon signs can be seen everywhere along the roadside, and under the gloomy sky, the whole village exudes a cyberpunk feel.
The group was taken to a hotel that received foreign guests, and after waiting for about half an hour, they finally met Hanzo.
The other person's appearance was the same as in the original work, wearing a gray ninja vest and a gas mask.
Inside the council chamber, Orochimaru, holding the scroll in both hands, slowly stepped forward and said neither humbly nor arrogantly, "Lord Hanzo, this is the negotiation document personally signed by the Third Hokage—"
"Let it go."
Hanzo's voice came through the gas mask, muffled and cold, showing no interest whatsoever in even glancing at him; he simply waved his hand casually.
Orochimaru paused slightly and gently placed the scroll on the long table.
"Won't Lord Hanzo take a look at the contents first?"
Orochimaru raised his golden vertical pupils, his tone still calm, but with a slightly subtle undertone.
"If I see this, will Konoha withdraw from the Land of Rain?"
Hanzo glanced coldly at Orochimaru, his tone laced with sarcasm: "The First Shinobi World War is over, but the struggle between Konoha and Sunagakure has never ceased over the years."
"You wage war on the land of the Rain Country, destroying villages, trampling farmland, and treating my Rain Village as nothing. Is this the first time I've protested against you?"
"In every conflict, I sent people to protest to both sides, demanding that you immediately cease your military operations within the Land of Rain. And what did you do?"
"Now that the situation has worsened and the flames of war are about to reach your own soil, you only now think of negotiating with me?"
Hanzo sneered as he spoke, casually tossing the scroll back to Orochimaru: "Negotiation—Hmph, these small countries around us are nothing more than buffer zones in the eyes of your Konoha."
"Tell Hiruzen Sarutobi that he doesn't need to put on this sanctimonious act with me. It's true that Sunagakure is an invader, but Konoha isn't much better."
Upon hearing this, Nawaki became furious and instinctively wanted to step forward to argue, but Minato raised his hand and pressed down on his shoulder.
Noticing the two's actions, Hanzo let out a soft snort, his gaze lingering for a moment on the face of the youngest, Minato.
"They actually sent a child as an envoy. Does Konoha have no one else to rely on? Or do they think they can win me over with such an innocent face?"
"They are my subordinates and disciples, and their purpose in coming here is simply to broaden their horizons. However, judging from what Lord Hanzo has said, it seems there is no need for negotiation."
Orochimaru chuckled, showing no anger at Hanzo's refusal, or rather, he had anticipated this situation all along.
This trip is merely a mission for the Hokage.
Based on his personal opinion, he would definitely still prefer war.
After all, there aren't that many materials available for him to experiment with in peacetime.
"If you really want to negotiate, immediately withdraw all your troops from the Land of Rain; otherwise, there's no point in talking."
Hanzo said coldly, waving his hand: "Show him out!"
As soon as he finished speaking, two Amegakure ninjas emerged from the shadows and stood on either side of the council hall door, gesturing for them to enter.
Orochimaru didn't insist any further, but simply nodded slightly: "In that case, we'll take our leave. However, Lord Hanzo, the situation on the battlefield can change in an instant, so please reconsider."
Orochimaru turned and walked towards the door, with Minato and the other two following closely behind.
Hanzo glanced at Minato's back and suddenly felt that something was wrong.
He then realized that the blond-haired boy, whose face still had a bit of baby fat, seemed a little too calm.
The two children beside him showed some emotion, and he could even sense the faint wariness emanating from Orochimaru.
Only that blond-haired kid had an eerily calm look in his eyes!
There was no anger, no disappointment, not even any emotional fluctuation; it was as if he were looking at something unrelated to himself.
Would a kid this age be so calm?
Thinking of this, he felt a sudden chill.
