Chapter 69 The Words on the Wall 2
Chapter 69 The Words on the Wall 2
Harry stared at Landric with sparkling eyes; he hadn't expected such an unexpected surprise.
Suppressing his inner turmoil, Landric waved casually at Harry, pretending not to see the scene before him, and walked away.
Really haunted.
Harry completely forgot about Filch and the pile of stones on the ground, and immediately tried to chase after Landric.
The obvious disregard for Filch's defenses was a perfect blow.
"You...stop right there!"
The hysterical roars were particularly noticeable in the empty castle at night.
Landric paused and stopped.
Dumbledore, the old Dumbledore, along with Snape, the middle Dumbledore, and a group of other professors, have already appeared.
He regretted it. He should have slapped Potter the moment he called his name to mute him!
A fleeting glance swept over Landric and Harry behind him.
Landric: ...
Old Deng is having a fit of paranoia!
"What happened, Mr. Filch?"
Filch glared at Harry with venomous fury. "Headmaster Dumbledore, it was him! No, it was them! They murdered Mrs. Lorris."
"You're talking nonsense! Rand didn't touch your cat! You know perfectly well you're framing me, and I have witnesses!"
Harry reacted instantly, taking two quick steps to the corner of the wall and grabbing it with his bare hands, adding two more people to the already lively scene.
Hermione: ...
Ron: ...
Landric felt like his brain had gone blank.
"You! Four! People!!!" Professor McGonagall struggled to control her rage. "You'd better give me an explanation!"
Before anyone else could react, Hermione interrupted Professor McGonagall, who had barely finished speaking: "Ron said there would be a surprise at Hogwarts Castle tonight, but Harry doesn't believe it..."
The unspoken words convey everything.
Professor McGonagall's forehead veins gleamed: "And what's the deal between you and Landric?"
"Professor McGonagall, Hermione was worried about us. Harry, in a fit of madness and infatuation, begged Hermione to bring Landric here."
Ron's ears turned red, but his face remained impassive, his eyes resolute in his determination to join the Party.
Professor McGonagall gave Harry a cryptic, speechless look of disdain.
"Well, now the truth is out. Rand was just dragged here by two idiots. Slytherin loses 10 points. Now, Landric, come here!" Snape interrupted the conversation, clearing Landric of any blame.
Harry even gave Snape a grateful look, which disgusted Snape greatly.
Professor McGonagall took a deep breath. "Gryffindor, deduct 50 points. You lot, get back to your dorms right now. If this happens again, you'll all be put in solitary confinement!"
Harry and his friends felt like they had been granted a pardon and immediately tried to run away, but a barrier appeared in front of them.
Dumbledore: "Wait, children, have you forgotten Mr. Filch?"
"Our great Headmaster Dumbledore may be getting senile, actually expecting a few first-year idiots who can barely even pronounce [Yugardim Leviosa] to learn the Petrification Charm."
Strike hard against the opponent and break through the defenses of your teammates.
Snape remained calm and composed despite the two resentful gazes he received.
Harry and Ron: Stop cursing! Stop cursing!
Dumbledore: "Well, Severus, I'd like to believe the little ones have nothing to do with this, but they were witnesses after all, and we need to give Mr. Filch an explanation."
The group marched to the office in a large group, with Snape grabbing Landric by the back of his collar, "Make him stand close to him."
Harry and Ron's bickering was as loud as a flock of ducks; when Dumbledore asked one question, they could even answer three, four, five, six, and seven.
Ron: "We heard that night outings were fun, and somehow we ended up with an invisibility cloak, so Harry and I decided to go out and see the castle at night, and we dragged along Hermione and Landric, those two clever guys."
Dumbledore: So you're saying the savior I chose isn't smart?
"And what about Mr. Filch? Did you see who hurt Mrs. Lorris?"
Professor McGonagall didn't believe for a second that the children had petrified the cat.
Harry chimed in, "I don't know, this is what the scene was like when we got here."
"You're lying! It must be you, you must have known..." Filch's shrill voice suddenly...
"What do I know?" Harry looked at Filch with a puzzled expression.
Filch's face turned ashen, and he dared not utter another word.
Dumbledore smoothed things over, saying, "Alright, Filch, these children really don't have the ability to petrify Mrs. Lorris. Let the children go home first! We'll inform all the students tomorrow."
"The words on the wall..."
Dumbledore: "We'll handle it."
