Chapter 612 Phoenix Order Headquarters
Siren didn't use a Portkey, nor did he use Apparition or FlooNet. Instead, he took the subway to Grimoire Place like an ordinary Muggle.
Because he wasn't sure if Dumbledore had really moved the Order of the Phoenix headquarters there again; perhaps he had misunderstood Sirius's meaning.
Or perhaps the letter was a forgery by the Death Eaters, just waiting for him to walk right into their trap.
In addition, the Ministry of Magic is also a problem.
He had seen in the Daily Prophet these past few days that Fudge had shifted all the blame onto Umbridge, giving himself some breathing room.
Of course, this is just a respite; Fudge's resignation is certain, and Merlin can't save him either.
But it's hard to say whether he might resort to desperate measures and cause trouble for others in the final stretch.
Using magic rashly could easily expose one's identity; Muggle transportation is much safer.
After exiting the metro, Siron naturally walked into a coffee shop near Grimoire Place, ordered, and sat down at a window seat.
From here you can see everything around Grimoire Square.
The good news is that after searching for half an hour, he didn't find anyone nearby who dressed strangely or kept shaking newspapers, trying to make the photos inside move.
It's certain that everyone coming and going around us is a Muggle.
Only then did Siren get up and walk to the spot between number 11 and 13 in Grimmauld Place.
It was as if something squeezed out from between the walls, and in the blink of an eye, a new house appeared in front of Xilun.
However, the passersby seemed oblivious to this miraculous scene, continuing to walk forward without looking back.
Just then, the door opened, and Mad-Eye Moody walked out.
"Not bad, I saw that." He pointed to his magic eye that could see through walls and obstacles.
"You're much better than those three idiots in the Weasley family; they didn't even consider that this might be a trap!"
"Hey, Dad brought us here, why should we suspect it's a trap?"
With a loud bang, Fred appeared behind Moody.
Then there was another sound, and George arrived.
"Long time no see, Xilun, how are you?"
"Not bad," Siren said. "You guys—well, you guys should be the same."
He noticed that Fred and George were both wearing expensive dragonskin jackets, which cost a lot of money, indicating that their Weasley Magic Tricks business was doing very well.
Unfortunately, after the holidays started, he could only stay at home, and he never even went to the Weasleys Wizarding Tricks in Diagon Alley.
"Come in quickly, what are you all doing standing at the door?" Mrs. Weasley's voice came from inside the house. It seemed that this place had indeed become the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
"Is that strange?" Moody seemed to sense his confusion and asked.
"A little," Siren nodded. "Bellatrix definitely knows where this is; the 'Loyalty' spell won't stop her."
.
"But the protective magic here isn't just the Unwavering Loyalty Charm," Sirius said as he walked over. "And knowing Bella as I do, she would never have imagined we'd return here to establish the Order of the Phoenix headquarters."
"In a sense, this place is actually safer than before the exposure."
"Perhaps so," Xiren shrugged, neither confirming nor denying.
"I assure you it's safe enough here," Sirius said with a smile, then stepped forward and hugged Sirius. "But I'm glad you understood my hint."
"I'm even happier you came out of the house," Fred said with a grin. "We went looking for you, but we couldn't even get in the door!"
"That's for sure." Moody, with his back to them, darted around with his magic eye, peering out from the back of his head.
"If the mysterious man kidnaps you from the joke shop tomorrow, Molly definitely won't allow you to go to Diagon Alley again."
"Oh—" Fred and George suddenly shuddered and said at the same time, "That's terrible."
Siren felt that what they meant by "terrible" was not being captured by Voldemort, but rather not being able to go to Diagon Alley.
"Come on in, but you'd better watch your step and not bump into that shoe cabinet. I've already argued with her three times today."
"What's all the arguing about?" Just as Xiren was wondering, Fred, who was walking next to him, kicked the shoe cabinet.
"I'm sorry—" He looked up, "I didn't mean to."
"Oh!" Sirius slapped his head hard.
Before he could speak, Xiren heard a terrible, deafening scream.
Suddenly, two velvet curtains riddled with wormholes were lifted from the wall, revealing a portrait of an old woman wearing a hat screaming desperately.
"You beasts! You sluts! Get out of here! How dare you defile my ancestral home—"
"Shut up, you horrible old witch, shut up!" Sirius roared, grabbing the curtains that had fallen to the ground and trying to hang them back up.
The old lady's face turned deathly pale. She was drooling, and the skin on her face was taut with anger.
"You, you—you spendthrift, a disgrace to the family, how dare you come back!"
"I said—shut up!" Sirius gritted his teeth, gripping the curtain tightly with both hands, and with great effort, finally managed to cover the portrait again.
The screams ceased, followed by a lingering silence.
"That's it." Sirius Black gasped for breath. "It seems you've already met my mother, she—"
Yeah, they're not easy to get along with.
"Ah, you're right." Xilun nodded silently.
"Actually, I did it on purpose," Fred said in a low voice. "We've been thinking of inventing a book that lets you swear."
"Mrs. Black gave us a lot of inspiration."
"But I think Sirius might not be too happy," Sirius said.
"We will apologize to him."
The group arrived at a room with a long table.
"Sirlen, we were just discussing this morning when your mother would let you out."
Sirius took a bottle of whiskey from the shelf and poured himself a little.
"Molly said you'd probably be locked up for a month, I said half a month, and now it seems I was right."
"No, no," Xilen shook her head. "Actually, I snuck out."
"What did you say?" Sirius suddenly froze, and everyone else in the room stopped what they were doing, staring at Sirius in disbelief.
"That's how it is, otherwise how do you think I escaped?" Siren said. "But don't worry, as long as I get back on time, there won't be any problems."
"I hope so," Sirius chuckled dryly, pouring more whiskey into his glass.
