Chapter 53 Trolls!!! Where are they?!
Chapter 53 Trolls!!! Where are they?!
After a moment of silence, he realized that Hermione probably wasn't here. Although she was slow to follow his lectures, she was very smart and would never stay here to be the troll's England Hermione pill.
As for the troll, Hagrid should be able to handle it... As for the damage it caused... well, Hogwarts is a large and wealthy family, and while the trolls might be stingy with money for new robes for Muggle wizards, they certainly wouldn't let their little wizards have classes in dilapidated buildings.
Just as he was about to leave, the giant who had been throwing a tantrum in the toilet seemed to get tired and stopped to rest. After the chaotic sounds disappeared, he heard a faint, discordant sobbing sound.
Hmm, he probably didn't underestimate Hermione's brain, but he likely underestimated her legs. After all, Hermione, who was hiding in the toilet secretly dropping her little pearls, was shocked to see the troll bursting in. Her shock was no less than that of a seasoned capitalist warrior seeing Pavel Korchagin. It's normal that she couldn't run away.
He turned back and called out to Hermione, who was hiding somewhere in the bathroom, "Hermione? Can you come out by yourself?"
As the troll caught a glimpse of Kane standing by the bathroom door, Hermione's voice rang out at the same time: "I think there's probably no chance, right?"
"Perhaps you could try hitting three and then moving one," Kane said wittily, just to lighten the mood, before pulling his wand from his pocket and pointing it sharply at the troll.
The troll had already swung his enormous wooden club at Kane, but unfortunately, when the club was less than half a meter away from Kane, it could not advance an inch further.
One after another, purple tentacles with barbs had somehow wrapped around the giant's indistinct limbs and were pulling it forcefully into a bizarre three-dimensional swamp cocoon behind it.
Thanks to the trolls' abstract evolutionary path of allocating all their brain points to their physical bodies, the swamp tentacles were unable to hold them back for a time.
Kane looked at this scene with a helpless smirk. The next moment, the bathroom ceiling light flickered, revealing the giant's shadow. After struggling and clumsily getting up from the ground, Kane punched the giant, embedding it completely into the three-dimensional swamp.
"Ugh, my swamp and tentacles are all dirty," Kane complained, before finally finding Hermione, who was hugging him and crying her eyes out, in the innermost stall of the restroom.
"Tsk tsk tsk..." Kane shook his head and made a tsk tsk sound. "Poor Hermione, she was so scared by the troll that she started shed little pearls one after another."
Hermione, on the other hand, didn't feel uncomfortable at all about Kane's indiscriminate trash talk. On the contrary, she was so frightened that she needed to find someone to hug her immediately.
With a determined look in her eyes and a loud cry, she lunged forward... That's at least what Harry Ron saw when he arrived with Dumbledore and a whole bunch of professors.
Hermione hugged her own shadow and cried her heart out, while her shadow lovingly stroked her hair, perhaps chanting some ancient spell, like "a gentle touch will keep you from being scared."
Kane, meanwhile, bent over and picked up pieces of purple meat from the ground, stuffing them into his pocket.
This comical, bizarre, and absurd scene left every professor momentarily stunned. Finally, Professor McGonagall spoke first: "So, Mr. Heath and Miss Granger, stop clinging to that shadow Mr. Heath created! Can anyone tell me where the troll escaped to? And are you injured?"
Upon hearing Professor McGonagall's voice, Hermione instinctively couldn't believe what she was hearing. She couldn't believe she was holding...?
What is the shadow created by Kane?
She immediately opened her eyes and looked at what she thought was "Kane" that she had been hugging for a full two minutes. But when she opened her eyes, it really was just a shadow, and judging from the outline of the shadow, it was her own shadow.
In an instant, Hermione, who had initially been just a little shy, evolved into a completely different person—her face turned an unnatural purplish-red. How embarrassing! Especially with so many professors and classmates watching...
It would have been better to have been killed by the troll's blow, ending it all.
Professor McGonagall quickly interrupted her awkwardness, asking, "Please answer my question, gentlemen: where did that troll go? With a troll in Hogwarts Castle, every young wizard is facing unimaginable danger."
Kane pointed to the monster meat he hadn't finished picking up on the ground: "That's all."
The entire bathroom fell silent. Everyone except Dumbledore, Snape, and Hermione looked on with suspicion and distrust.
The first two had considerable confidence in Kane's ability to cause trouble, while the latter actually glimpsed how the troll was being meticulously chopped into pieces by the tentacles inside the compartment.
Hermione saw that most of the professors looked at her with distrust and felt it was necessary to defend Kane. She took a deep breath and quietly raised her hand.
This time, her hand-raising gesture wasn't as decisive as it usually was in class, but her voice remained as firm as ever: "I can vouch for this; it was indeed the troll that Kane defeated."
Professor McGonagall's voice seemed to be suppressing her anger, because in her eyes, the behavior of these two young wizards was as if they were treating the lives and safety of the other young wizards at Hogwarts as if they didn't exist, all for the sake of their own face and willfulness.
Fortunately, before Professor McGonagall could react, Dumbledore stepped forward with a smile: "Relax, Minerva. We should trust Heath. Of course, I understand your concerns. We can certainly have Mr. Heath demonstrate for us how he defeated the troll, don't you think?"
After Dumbledore finished speaking, without waiting for Professor McGonagall's agreement, he directly took out the Elder Wand and used Transfiguration to transform it into a one-to-one replica of the troll, even replicating the eerie smell that resembled the fermentation of a dead person's navel perfectly.
Professor McGonagall immediately drew her wand, wary of any attack Dumbledore, this monstrous form, might launch at any of the young wizards present. She then turned to Dumbledore, her expression a mixture of helplessness and anger: "Albus, I don't think now is the time for you to search for talented young wizards..."
Professor McGonagall suddenly couldn't continue speaking because she sensed a strange aura that defied the laws of magic. She instinctively turned around and saw a sinister, bizarre, and absurd cocoon, resembling a child's simple sketch, appearing in the center of this crippled toilet.
One after another, barbed tentacles emerged from the cocoon and grabbed the troll's limbs and torso. For a while, the troll was able to hold out against the cocoon for a short time, but soon another phenomenon that challenged Professor McGonagall's magical intuition occurred.
The shadow beneath the troll's feet struggled to its feet, appearing in reality from two dimensions to three, before finally slamming the troll into the swamp cocoon with a single blow.
"That's it." Kane waved his wand, causing the cocoon to disappear. The troll's shadow also turned into black smoke in an instant, leaving only the endless silence of the crowd.
