Bennett leaned against the wall, sat down on the ground exhausted, and panted heavily: "Mika, that thing is too evil. We finally escaped from that old house, and those people behind us are still chasing us."

Finally, they found the old scholar's residence in a quiet grove. It was a small wooden house surrounded by various flowers and plants. A white-haired old man was basking in the sun in front of the house.

"Excuse me, old man. We are hiding from some bad guys and it is related to an evil ancient book. Do you know how to crack its power?" Mika asked respectfully.

The old man slowly opened his eyes: "Evil ancient books? Come in and tell me about it."

Bennett and Mika walked into the house and told the old man what had happened in detail. After listening, the old man fell into deep thought: "The power of this ancient book is indeed strong, but it is not impossible to crack it. As far as I know, there is a magical crystal in a distant valley that can absorb evil power. However, there are ferocious beasts guarding it."

Bennett's eyes widened: "Beast? Isn't that dangerous?"

The old man nodded: "Yes, but this is the only hope. If you can get the crystal, maybe you can resolve this crisis."

Mika said firmly: "We are willing to give it a try to stop the ancient book from doing evil."

Although Bennett was afraid, he gritted his teeth and said, "Yes, Mika, let's go together."

The two prepared their weapons and dry food and headed for the valley. Along the way, the scenery was beautiful, but they had no intention of appreciating it. The closer they got to the valley, the more depressing the atmosphere became.

"Mika, I'm a little scared." Bennett whispered.

"Don't be afraid, Bennett, I'm here." Mika held the sword tightly.

Suddenly, a huge black bear jumped out of the woods, roaring deafeningly. Bennett turned pale with fear, and Mika quickly stood in front of him: "Bennett, go around behind it and attack its weak spot."

Bennett mustered up his courage and quietly went around behind the black bear with a dagger. The black bear slapped Mika, who dodged flexibly and took the opportunity to stab the black bear in the abdomen with his sword. The black bear turned around angrily, and Bennett saw the opportunity and stabbed the black bear's eyes. The black bear roared in pain and fell to the ground.

"Great, Mika, we did it." Bennett shouted excitedly.

They continued to go deeper into the valley and finally found the crystal that was emitting a mysterious light. Just as they were about to pick up the crystal, a flock of crows suddenly flew over and blocked out the sun.

Bennett picked up a stone on the ground and threw it at the crow: "Mika, let's take the crystal away."

The two of them took the crystal and ran desperately out of the valley. Crows chased them closely and kept pecking at them. Mika drove the crows away with his sword, while Bennett held the crystal tightly.

Finally, they ran out of the valley, and the crows flew back to the valley. The two of them breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed on the ground.

They returned to the city and found a secluded place. They placed the crystal next to the ancient book, and the crystal began to emit a dazzling light, and the evil power in the ancient book seemed to be absorbed bit by bit.

"It seems to be working, Bennett," Mika said happily.

Just when they thought they had succeeded, the ancient book suddenly burst out with a powerful force, shaking the crystal away.

Mika stood up quickly and picked up the sword: "We can't give up, Bennett, try again."
