Shoko replied as soon as the message was sent.
Nishimiya Shoko: Yeah, I know. Have fun, Yuto-kun (cat waving.jpg)
"Who's more handsome than me? Thanks. What gift would you like?"
Nishimiya Shoko: No need, it's good that Yuto-kun is back safe and sound.
Is Izu some kind of hellish place...?
"Who's more handsome than me? No way! I promised you I'd surprise you when I got back."
"Nishimiya Shoko: Hmm! I'm looking forward to it! (Cat looking forward to it.jpg)"
After ending his conversation with Shoko, Yuto Itsuka felt much better.
Just as he was about to take a shower, his phone rang again.
It was Aunt Kotori calling.
"Moshi moshi, Yuto~" Kotori's voice was still full of energy, "Is your school letting out for summer vacation tomorrow?"
"Yes, Kotori's mother."
"Great! What are your plans for summer vacation? Would you like to come stay with Mom?"
"Um... I'm going to a training camp in Izu with my clubmates the day after tomorrow, and I probably won't be back until next week. After that, I'll probably be busy working on the next volume of my novel, so I probably won't have time to go out and have fun."
"Training camp? To Izu?" Kotori's voice sounded a little disappointed. "I see... Alright then, be careful."
"I will."
"You must come home for dinner when you get back! Mom will cook you something delicious!"
“Okay, Kotori’s mother.”
After hanging up the phone, Yuto Itsuka sighed. He still couldn't get used to Aunt Kotori's enthusiasm, and it felt even more tiring than dealing with Kasumigaoka-senpai's cunning.
However, this feeling of being cared for doesn't seem so bad.
I took a shower in the bathroom.
After leaving, he organized some writing materials. Although the trip was supposed to be for fun, he couldn't neglect his work, since they were nominally using the library's funds for their trip.
I've only just started writing the manuscript for the third volume of "Farming King," and I'm also starting to get some ideas for a new project in my head. I'll need to discuss it with Kasumigaoka-senpai when the time comes.
Just as I was thinking about it, Eriri sent me a message.
"Eriri: You idiot Yuto, what are you doing? Have you packed your luggage yet?"
"Who's more handsome than me: I'm getting ready, almost done."
Eriri: I'm all packed! Oh, and don't forget your swimsuit!
"Who's more handsome than me? I've brought it, but I might not even have time to go to the beach."
"Eriri: It says on the itinerary! Saturday is free time!"
"Who's more handsome than me? Okay, but I'd rather stay in the hotel."
Eriri: Who goes on vacation and stays in a hotel? You idiot!
"Eriri: Don't sneak into the girls' room at night, okay?"
"Who's more handsome than me? ...You're dreaming."
Eriri: Hmph, who knows? You guys are all perverts.
"Who's more handsome than me? Well, you'd better watch out for Kasumigaoka-senpai, she might raid my room at night."
Eriri: What! That woman is shameless! No, I have to keep an eye on her!
"Who's more handsome than me? Well, that's up to you, partner."
Eriri: ...Hmm, leave it to me.
Itsuka put down his phone, smiled, and started looking forward to the Izu training camp.
……
……
[P.S.: I saw someone say that if Mai appeared now, she would slaughter Rei indiscriminately.]
I confirmed.
[But we don't plan to delay; it will be released during the summer vacation.]
Volume 1: Chapter 97: Izu! Atami! Training Camp!
Friday morning, Tokyo Station, Shinkansen waiting area.
Eriri Sawamura Spencer was standing near the ticket gate, dragging a pink medium-sized suitcase that seemed a little out of place with her petite frame.
Today, she specially changed into a light blue short-sleeved shirt and a white skirt, her golden ponytail was tied high, and she wore a wide-brimmed straw hat, looking like a rich heiress preparing to go on vacation.
However, she kept glancing at her watch with a slight frown, clearly displeased with someone's lateness.
"Seriously, why isn't that idiot Yuto here yet? He's the one who organized the training camp!"
"Oh, Sawamura-kun, are you already missing your 'partner' so early?" A cheerful voice came from behind.
Eriri knew who it was without even turning around.
Kasumigaoka Utaha walked over gracefully with her long legs. She was wearing a deep purple dress, her long black hair was draped over her shoulders, and she was carrying only a simple travel bag.
“Who’s thinking about him! I’m worried he’ll miss the train!” Eriri immediately retorted.
"Really? I thought your relationship had progressed by leaps and bounds after a week of living together and working on your manuscripts." Shi Yu tapped her lower lip with her finger, her eyes slightly teasing.
"I've already said it wasn't cohabitation, Kasumigaoka Utaha, if you say that again I'll..."
"So what?" Shiyu leaned forward slightly, looking directly into Eriri's eyes, her undulating mountain-like features exuding immense pressure. "Sawamura-kun, with such a fiery temper, be careful you don't become sexually frustrated?"
"You...!" Eriri stomped her feet in anger.
"Good morning, everyone." A calm voice interrupted their argument.
Kato Megumi appeared beside them at some point. Today, she was wearing a beige dress and a white sun hat, looking as refreshing as ever, but her presence was as faint as ever.
"Kato-kun? When did you arrive?" Eriri asked in surprise.
"Just arrived." Kato Megumi tilted her head. "What are you talking about? You seem to be having a lot of fun."
"..." Eriri and Utaha both fell silent.
Just then, Yuto Itsuka finally ran over, panting.
"Sorry, sorry, I got lost for a while on the road of life, haha~" He raised his right hand and scratched the back of his head. The sunny smile on the boy's face made it impossible to be angry with him.
"You idiot Yuto! You're so slow! You always say I'm slow, but I think you're the one who's slow!" Eriri immediately went up to her and complained.
Yuto Itsuka was carrying a bag containing bento boxes and drinks. He handed the bag over and said, "Sorry, the train was a bit crowded during rush hour, so I thought I'd buy some food and drinks for everyone and that's why I'm a little late."
"Hmph, at least you still have some conscience." Eriri took the bag, a smile unconsciously creeping onto her lips.
"Junior, you're so thoughtful," Shiyu said with a smile as she walked over. "But, you only bought breakfast, isn't something missing?"
She glanced meaningfully at her full, luscious lips.
Yuto Itsuka pretended not to hear and turned to Megumi Kato: "Kato-san, the ticket is with me. Let's get ready to go into the station."
"Okay, Itsuka-kun."
……
On the Shinkansen.
The four found their reserved seats, and Yuto Itsuka specifically chose four seats facing each other in pairs.
"I'll sit here." Eriri quickly took the window seat.
"Then I'll sit next to Sawamura-kun," Kasumigaoka Utaha said, and was about to sit down.
"No!" Eriri immediately stopped her. "You sit across from me!"
"Oh? Sawamura-kun, do you want to sit with your junior?" Utaha looked at her with a smile.
"I didn't! I just... I just didn't want to sit with you!" Eriri's face turned red again.
"Itsuka-kun, I can sit anywhere," Kato Megumi said calmly.
"It doesn't matter where you sit, right?" Yuto Itsuka sighed helplessly. "Kasumigaoka-senpai, you can sit next to me."
He pointed to the spot next to him.
"Oh my, junior, you're inviting me so readily?" Shi Yu feigned surprise, but still obediently sat down.
Eriri glared at Shiwa angrily, and Kato Megumi sat down next to Eriri.
The train slowly started moving, and the scenery outside the window began to recede into the distance.
"Speaking of which, is the budget for this training camp really okay?" Eriri suddenly asked. "The Shinkansen goes directly to Atami; the tickets aren't cheap, are they?"
This was something she specifically requested yesterday because she didn't want to drag her suitcase while changing trains.
"Don't worry, the library's budget is sufficient." Itsuka Yuto took out his phone and checked the budget he had written in his notes. "Besides, the guesthouse we booked is very cost-effective, and the remaining money is enough to cover transportation costs."
"The arrangements are very thoughtful!"
"After all, this is our first club activity, so we need to make sure everyone is satisfied."
“Speaking of satisfaction…” Kasumigaoka Utaha suddenly leaned closer and lowered her voice, “Junior, how far do you think we should go in this training camp before we’re satisfied?”
Her breath gently brushed against Itsuka Yuto's ear, carrying a faint fragrance.
Yuto Itsuka's body stiffened, and he subconsciously moved to the side.
Eriri, on the other side, immediately became alert: "Kasumigaoka Utaha! Stay away from Yuto!"
"I was just discussing the script with my junior." Shiyu sat up straight, looking completely innocent. "Sawamura-kun, are you getting the wrong idea again?"
"You! Shan IV, another two (two)? (four) Dad's affairs 《峮》"
"Itsuka-san, could I take another look at the schedule?" Kato Megumi interrupted them at the right moment.
"Okay." Yuto Itsuka breathed a sigh of relief, took out the printed itinerary from his bag, and handed it to Megumi Kato.
Two hours later...
Atami, Izu Peninsula.
Stepping out of the station, a pungent, salty smell of the sea hit me.
"Wow! It smells like the ocean!" Eriri exclaimed excitedly.
"This is Izu. The air feels so much fresher." Kato Megumi took a deep breath.
“Alright, let’s go to the guesthouse to drop off our luggage first.” Itsuka Yuto looked at the map on his phone. “The guesthouse isn’t far from the station, about ten minutes away.”
"There seems to be a foot bath nearby," Kato Megumi said, pointing to one side of the exit.
A number of tourists had gathered there, soaking their feet in a steaming square pool. A sign next to the pool read "Ieyasu no Yu" (Ieyasu's Hot Spring).
"How about we give it a try?" Kato Megumi suggested. "It'll be a good way to relieve the fatigue from the car ride."
"Okay, okay!" Eriri was the first to agree.
"I won't go. I don't like sharing a pool with strangers. What if they have..." Kasumigaoka Utaha said meaningfully.
Eriri and Megumi Kato exchanged a glance upon hearing this, then shook their heads and said in unison, "We're not going."
……
The four walked along the street. Atami is a small town nestled between mountains and the sea. The streets are lined with old buildings that have a strong sense of history.
The guesthouse they booked was located in a quiet alley and was a traditional two-story Japanese-style building.
"This is it." Itsuka Yuto checked the address.
He rang the doorbell, and a moment later, an elderly woman with gray hair and a kind smile came out.
"Hello, are you Mr. Itsuka who made the room reservation?"
“Yes, sorry to bother you.” Itsuka Yuto nodded politely.
