"I will care about you."
"!"
Yuto Itsuka immediately retorted, "Are you planning to take responsibility for me, senior, and for the life you saved?"
"Ah."
"So, in order for you to care about me anytime and anywhere and take responsibility for me, let's add each other as Line friends first."
"From today onwards, senior, you have to keep a close eye on me and make sure I never have any more suicidal thoughts."
"it is good."
The two added each other on Line.
'Yoshi!'
Yuto Itsuka mentally clenched his fist.
……
……
The weekend was sunny with clear blue waters.
Yuto Itsuka lay in his rented room, opened LINE, found the pink rabbit profile picture, and sent a message.
"Who's more handsome than me: Address XXXXXX"
After a few seconds, I received a reply.
Sakurajima Mai: ?
"Who's more handsome than me? This is my home address."
Mai Sakurajima: I know.
"Who's more handsome than me? Didn't my senior promise to take responsibility for me, to care for me, and to look after me?"
"Who's more handsome than me? Shouldn't I also fulfill my duties properly this weekend?"
This time, the message took a while to reply; it was several minutes later.
Mai Sakurajima: I refuse.
Yuto Itsuka smiled slightly upon seeing the reply, then walked to the kitchen area and picked up a fruit knife.
He adjusted the angle, took out his phone, snapped a photo, and sent it over.
An hour later, there was a knock on the door.
"Boom, boom, boom."

"Senior, you're here." Itsuka Yuto greeted her with a smile and stepped aside to make way for her.
Mai Sakurajima didn't say anything, she just glanced at him calmly, and then walked straight into the house.
Her gaze swept around the rented room and quickly settled on the kitchen.
Before Yuto Itsuka could close the door, he saw Mai Sakurajima stride straight into the kitchen.
She picked up the fruit knife, which was the "murder weapon," from the cutting board, sheathed it, and put it in her bag.
"Senior, is this really necessary? I just wanted to peel an apple." Yuto Itsuka leaned against the door frame, feigning ignorance.
"Apples can be eaten with the peel on."
"Do people actually eat apples with the peel on?" Yuto Itsuka expressed deep skepticism.
"But, senior, even if we don't have a fruit knife, other things will do, right? Scissors, rope, sleeping pills... and I can buy them at the convenience store downstairs anytime."
"No."
"No? But why should I listen to my senior?"
"It's a promise, I'll take care of you."
"A relationship similar to that of a guardian?"
"Ah."
"I see. But you didn't really want to come today, did you, senior?"
Mai Sakurajima calmly replied, "I'll come again next time."
"Okay, since you've said so, then... I'm hungry."
Mai Sakurajima turned her gaze to him.
"I don't have much food at home, the refrigerator is empty." He said as he walked to the refrigerator and opened the door.
There were only a few bottles of mineral water inside.
Since it's a simulated world, he's too lazy to cook for himself and has been eating out these days, since he can't take the money with him anyway.
“Look,” Yuto Itsuka pointed to the empty refrigerator, “this is what living alone is like. Who knows, I might starve to death at home one day.”
Mai Sakurajima walked up to the refrigerator, glanced inside, and a few seconds later, turned and walked towards the entrance.
"Hey? Senior, where are you going?" Yuto Itsuka quickly followed.
"supermarket."
What are you going to the supermarket for?
"Buying groceries."
"and then?"
"Cook."
After saying that, she opened the door and went out.
Yuto Itsuka assumed that Mai Sakurajima would be back in no time, at most twenty minutes.
He leaned back on the sofa, played two rounds of mobile games, and watched short videos for more than ten minutes before he heard any noise at the door.
He turned his head and was instantly so shocked that he sat up straight.
Mai Sakurajima was carrying two shopping bags in each hand, and even had two more hanging from her wrists. The bags were stuffed full of fresh vegetables, meat, eggs, dairy products, and seasonings.
"Senior, what's going on..." Itsuka Yuto stood up, somewhat amused and exasperated, "Are you planning to open a restaurant in my house?"
Mai Sakurajima ignored his teasing and went straight to the kitchen. She placed the bags on the counter and began to systematically take out the ingredients one by one and categorize them.
Carrots, potatoes, onions, broccoli, tomatoes... and a piece of beef tenderloin that looks to be of pretty good quality.
"Senior, do you cook often?" he couldn't help but ask.
"Hmm." Mai Sakurajima took a bag of rice out of the shopping bag, found the rice container in the cupboard, and poured it in.
"Live alone?"
"Ah."
"Where did you learn to cook, senior?"
"Read books, watch videos."
"Do you need my help?"
Mai Sakurajima finally stopped what she was doing, turned her head to look at him, her gaze lingered on him for two seconds, and then she shook her head.
"Need not."
Yuto Itsuka scratched his head and tactfully left the kitchen.
Soon, the sound of chopping vegetables came from the kitchen, followed by a loud sizzle.
Half an hour later, Mai Sakurajima came out of the kitchen carrying a tray.
The three dishes and one soup were beautifully presented and served in a delicious and appealing way.
She set the food on the table, then served two bowls of rice, placing one of them in front of Itsuka Yuto.
"Eat."
As she spoke, she sat down opposite her.
Yuto Itsuki picked up his chopsticks, took a piece of beef brisket, and put it in his mouth.
The meat was stewed until very flavorful, and the rich sauce burst on the tongue, perfectly balanced between salty and sweet.
"Delicious!" he exclaimed sincerely.
This tastes better than many restaurants outside.
Mai Sakurajima didn't react to his praise and quietly ate the rice in her bowl.
After the meal, before Yuto Itsuka could speak, Mai Sakurajima stood up and began clearing the table.
"Senior, let me do it," Yuto Itsuka said instinctively. "How can I let you cook and wash the dishes?"
"It's alright." She picked up the plate and walked towards the kitchen.
Yuto Itsuki followed her and saw her put on rubber gloves, squeeze on dish soap, turn on the tap, and begin washing the dishes.
He watched as she dried the clean dishes one by one and then neatly put them back in the cupboard.
After she finished doing all this, took off her gloves, and turned around, Yuto Itsuka spoke.
"Senior."
"Ok?"
"Thank you for lunch. It's been a long time since anyone cooked for me." This time, it was from the bottom of his heart.
Sayuri:?
"You're welcome," she said.
“But…” Yuto Itsuka changed the subject, “What about tomorrow, and the future?”
“There’s still so much food in the fridge, I can’t possibly eat it all by myself.” He pointed to the fridge. “Besides, I can’t cook, I can’t eat out every day, can I? Food outside is expensive, not tasty, and not healthy.”
"Senior, you promised to take responsibility for me, right?"
"Taking care of my diet should also be part of your responsibility, right?"
Mai Sakurajima watched him silently, neither nodding nor shaking her head.
Yuto Itsuka lowered his head and said in a soft voice, "As expected, you still find it troublesome, right? You can't take care of another person, can you?"
As he spoke, he secretly observed her reaction out of the corner of his eye.
"Sigh, forget it, I can manage on my own."
"No trouble."
"Ok?"
"What do you want to eat tomorrow?" she asked.
Yo West!
"Really? Senior will come again tomorrow?"
"Ah."
"Then... hamburger patties, I want hamburger patties!" He immediately pushed his luck.
Mai Sakurajima nodded, which was taken as an agreement.
Then, she walked past him to the entrance.
"I'm going back."
"Okay, see you tomorrow, senior!" Yuto Itsuka followed her to the door and waved to her.
He only breathed a sigh of relief after the door closed and plopped back down on the sofa.
Today's progress is good; his plan is showing initial results.
But he didn't really understand what was going on with Mai Sakurajima. Logically speaking, if it was a congenital emotional disorder, his method would be quite difficult to be effective.
