Chapter 63 Three People Together
Chapter 63 Three People Together
Magnolia, a bustling street.
Chase, Elfman, and Loki traveled together, and the residents avoided them wherever they went.
"That's strange, Elfman, is your reputation in town really that bad?" Chase asked in surprise.
"What are you talking about? My manliness has been recognized by countless people!"
Elfman raised his arms, showing off his massive muscles, "This is definitely Loki's problem."
"Yeah, that makes sense, after all, this guy's always chasing after women." Chase nodded thoughtfully.
"Hey! You two, isn't that enough already?!"
Loki roared, his handsome face contorted with rage, "I'm ranked among the top in the weekly magic magazine's 'Most Popular Male Mage'!"
"The Magic Weekly rankings aren't very valuable anyway. I was number one on the destruction list a year ago," Chess laughed.
"That's why!!" Loki was almost at his breaking point.
To be honest, he still doesn't understand why he absolutely had to go on a date with these two!
"Hmm? Dave's Odd Tavern?"
As they walked, Chase noticed a pub in a bustling area and suggested, "A date really needs a place to sit down. Let's go here."
"A real man!" Elfman agreed.
Loki...
Well, his refusal won't make a difference.
Perhaps it was because it wasn't yet the peak drinking season, the pub was quite quiet, with only a few scattered customers.
A boy with a buzz cut, about six or seven years old, was doing his homework at the bar.
Upon seeing Chess and his two companions enter, their eyes, dulled by their homework, instantly lit up.
"Brother Chess!!"
The little boy happily dropped his homework, jumped off the bar, and ran quickly toward Chess.
That's right, he's the child Chase saved during the "suburban drunken monster attack" incident!
"Oh my, little Tom, you've grown so tall in just one year!"
Chess smiled and ruffled little Tom's hair.
"Hey, Brother Chess, I saw the news in the newspaper! You were so cool, protecting all the tourists on the island!"
When this was mentioned, little Tom's eyes filled with admiration. "I want to be a man like you when I grow up!"
"Haha, then you'd better study magic properly." Chess laughed heartily.
The heartwarming scene left Elfman and Loki momentarily stunned, staring at each other in disbelief.
No, that Chase, does he have such a die-hard fan in Magnolia?
"Huh? Chase? What the hell are you doing here?!"
A gasp interrupted Elfman and Loki's thoughts.
The tavern owner, Dave, rushed over and pulled his son away from Chase, then, feeling that the distance wasn't safe enough, immediately retreated several meters.
Magnolia Chase's first rule: When there is no danger around, Chase is the most dangerous person!
"Seriously, Dave? It's been over a year, and this is how you treat an old friend?"
Chase greeted them with a smile, "I brought two friends over for a few drinks, is there a seat?"
Because of the previous monster attack, he had a fairly good relationship with this tavern.
"No! We're closed!" Dave said firmly.
Then, his lips twitched suddenly as he saw Chase leading Elfman and Loki to sit down in any empty seats.
"Let me think... If it's a date, let's start with two bottles of red wine," Chase said with a smile, holding up two fingers.
Dave was quite speechless at his overly familiar manner, but instead of chasing him away, he impatiently said, "Want some free peanuts?"
"Of course."
Upon arriving at the wine bar, Chase's language also became more sophisticated.
Although, to Elfman and Loki, it was quite a sudden change in style...
"You're an S-class mage and you're still so stingy? You can have all the leftover fried chicken legs from the kitchen!"
Dave, who seemed to suffer from some Laxus syndrome, paused, then emphasized, "It's not something I wanted to give you; it's just what was left over from yesterday!"
How could he possibly turn away the person who saved his child's life?
Let alone drinking two bottles of wine, even if you gave Chess the whole tavern, he wouldn't even blink!
"Dad, the chicken legs in the kitchen, didn't you get up early this morning to fry them?" Little Tom said weakly.
Boom!
Dave smacked him on the forehead: "Shut up!"
Seeing his foolish son still standing there, clutching his head, he couldn't hold back any longer. Pointing at the homework on the ground, he snapped, "Pick up your homework! I'll make you pick up your homework!"
After saying that, he hurriedly walked to the bar, picked up the scarf, tied it around his neck, and turned to go into the kitchen.
"For Chase, we can't use cheap frozen chicken legs; let's fry some fresh ones for him."
"Wait? What did he just say? A date? With those two guys?!"
I wonder what kind of expression the customer, currently enjoying fine wine and gnawing on a large chicken leg, would have if he knew what this unscrupulous merchant was thinking...
Fine wine and delicious food were served quickly.
As he left, Dave glanced at the three men sitting opposite him with a look that was a mixture of suspicion, ambiguity, surprise, and astonishment.
After much hesitation, he gave up the idea of asking around.
After he left, the atmosphere instantly became incredibly awkward, completely out of place with the noisy dice-throwing sounds from the next table.
The three grown men stared at each other, unsure how to proceed to the next step.
We can't really be as lovey-dovey as a date, can we?
Even the thick-skinned Chase wouldn't do that—looking at those two faces was just too disgusting!
Time slips away quietly like this.
Ten minutes later.
"man!"
Finally, the straight-laced Elfman couldn't take it anymore, slammed his fist on the table, and roared, "You must do what Mira asked you to do!"
"Chase, Loki, let's do something normal couples do!"
These words caused an uproar in the room.
Chess smiled and shook his head, sighing, "No wonder he's Mira's younger brother."
Loki stared at Elfman with a look of utter terror on his face, his expression serious and not at all like he was joking.
Is Elfman about to get serious?!
He suddenly felt a little uncomfortable in his chrysanthemum...
The next second, the scene changed, and they went from the tavern to the riverbank in the city.
It's the place where Natsu and Gray used to fight each other when they were kids.
"A real man's date should be full of passion!!"
Elfman, having received the monster's arm, roared and unleashed a rising dragon punch that sent Loki airborne.
Loki stared blankly: "In your understanding, the things normal couples should do are...fighting?! !"
His glasses lenses were shattered by the dry heat, and he collapsed, lying flat on the riverbank, silently shedding tears.
The desire to return to the Protoss Realm reached an unprecedented level.
"Haha, Elfman, you're getting more and more skilled at using your receiving magic."
Chase, who had been watching the whole thing from the sidelines, changed the subject and remarked with a sigh, "What a pity, he should have been able to receive it all at once."
The reason he chose to go on a "date" was not only to disgust Loki, that scumbag, but also for a more important purpose.
That is to completely resolve the conflict between the two of them.
Elfman acted out of fear of the Beastmaster who had taken Lisanna's life.
Loki, on the other hand, is deeply troubled by the guilt of "causing" the death of his former Protoss master, Kallen.
