Chapter 164 All the Dragon Balls Were Stolen
Chapter 164 All the Dragon Balls Were Stolen
Nestled among the rugged cliffs of Namek, Bulma sat anxiously, tightly binding the Dragon Balls to her leg with a rope. She then plopped down on a stool, muttering incessantly, "Where have Krillin and Shoyun gone? How long has it been? Why aren't they back? They've left a frail woman like me here in the middle of nowhere! When will they ever return?" Her voice echoed through the mountains, but received no response, only the howling wind in her ears.
Suddenly, the rope binding the Dragon Ball tightened sharply, and a strong force pulled her off the stool, sending her sprawling on her back. "Ouch, what happened!" Bulma rubbed her sore bottom and looked down angrily. She saw Krillin squatting on the ground, frantically trying to untie the rope binding the Dragon Ball.
"Krillin, you're finally back!" Bulma was both surprised and delighted, and a smile instantly bloomed on her face.
Krillin, looking hurried and without even looking up, said, "Bulma, there's no time to explain. It's an emergency. I need to borrow the Dragon Ball for a bit." Before he finished speaking, he had already untied the rope, picked up the Dragon Ball, and dashed off like an arrow.
Immediately afterward, Shang Yun and Sun Wukong also flashed in. They simply waved to Bulma and then took to the air, speeding away into the distance.
Bulma also noticed that Vegeta was among them, flying in a certain direction together.
"Wait, this..." Bulma was about to call out to them when she suddenly stopped. Her eyes widened, the smile vanishing instantly, replaced by utter terror. Her lips trembled slightly as she murmured, "That person just now... it looked like Vegeta! How did they get together? What's going on?"
Bulma was filled with doubt and unease. She stood there blankly, staring in the direction they had left, unable to come to her senses for a long time.
Krillin, Shangyun, Goku, and Vegeta sped along and finally arrived at the secret place where Vegeta had hidden the Dragon Balls.
After landing, Vegeta was extremely anxious. He reached out to Krillin and shouted, "Give me the Dragon Balls!"
Krillin, clutching the Dragon Balls, suddenly stopped, his mind in turmoil. He thought to himself, if he were to give the Dragon Balls to Vegeta and grant him his wish for immortality, the consequences would be unimaginable.
"Give me the Dragon Balls now! It's too late!" Vegeta roared again, his anger rising as he watched Krillin remain motionless.
However, fate always seems to play tricks on people. At this critical moment, the Ginyu Force appeared like ghosts between them and the five Dragon Balls, as if they were an insurmountable barrier.
Krillin, Shangyun, and Gohan were immediately shocked upon seeing this. Krillin, looking panicked, said, "I didn't expect these guys to arrive so quickly! How come we didn't notice a thing!"
Vegeta glared at Krillin, then looked at Ginyu with a helpless expression, muttering to himself, "It's too late after all. It seems we have no choice but to fight them." Then, he turned to the three people beside him and said, "Everyone, attack together in a bit. Although your fighting power isn't high, more people can always make a difference."
At that moment, Ginyu let out a piercing laugh, mocking, "Vegeta, you fool who doesn't know your own death! How dare you betray Frieza! You're courting death! That's the Dragon Ball in your hand, isn't it?"
Guldo chimed in, "We have five more behind us, and with the two you have, that makes seven. King Frieza will surely be overjoyed!"
Vegeta snorted coldly and said fiercely, "You won't succeed! Although you have power level detectors and it's easy for you to find people, the Dragon Balls are not so easy to find!" With that, Vegeta suddenly turned around, leaped high into the air, and threw the Dragon Balls into the distance with all his might.
In that split second, a tall, slender blue-skinned member of the Ginyu Force shot out like lightning, his speed dazzling. He caught the Dragon Ball in mid-air and then flew back at the same astonishing speed. This series of actions was completed in one fluid motion, so fast that Vegeta hadn't even landed yet when the member was already back in place, clutching the Dragon Ball tightly, and laughed triumphantly: "Vegeta, I, Burt, am the fastest in the universe. Your little tricks are nothing compared to mine!"
Vegeta glared angrily and shouted through gritted teeth at Krillin, "Destroy the Dragon Balls!"
Upon hearing this, Krillin extended his right hand without hesitation, gathering power in his palm, and struck directly at the Dragon Ball. However, just as his palm was about to touch the Dragon Ball, something strange happened—the Dragon Ball vanished into thin air and then reappeared in Guldo's hand.
Seeing the sly smile on Guldo's face, Vegeta felt a strong sense of unease. He couldn't help but wonder: Could the legends be true? Does Guldo really possess the strange ability to manipulate time?
Seeing that all seven Dragon Balls were now firmly in his hands, Ginyu ordered his four teammates, "I'll go back and give the Dragon Balls to Frieza. As for the other four, they're yours to take care of."
Upon hearing this, the four team members rubbed their hands together excitedly and cheered in unison, "Great!"
Ginyu waved his hands, and the seven Dragon Balls floated slowly around him. Then, he flashed and performed a strange and awkward dance move before flying towards Frieza's base like an arrow.
The remaining four team members completely ignored Vegeta and the others, standing still and playing rock-paper-scissors to decide who would attack first, as if killing Vegeta and the others was just a game.
After a fierce contest, Guldo won the "match," and his fat face was immediately filled with excitement and ferocity. He shouted at the top of his lungs, "Then I'll go first! You wretches, are you ready? Who will die first?"
Bart, standing nearby, said, "I bet Guldo will finish the fight in a minute."
Gis asked, "What are we betting on?"
Bart replied, "I'll bet you a piece of chocolate."
Gis nodded: "Okay."
On the other side, Shang Yun said with a solemn expression: "Since they want to come one by one, we'll play along and buy them time while we wait for Wukong to arrive."
Upon hearing Shang Yun's words, Vegeta thought of the battles on Earth and snorted coldly at Shang Yun.
Klin quickly said, "Shang Yun, this guy doesn't look very strong. I'm the weakest here, so let me go first."
Son Gohan also stepped forward, as if to say something.
