Chapter 84 Before the Banquet
As evening approached, at Hogwarts Castle,
In the Slytherin common room, Malfoy saw Vio dressed in his finest attire.
This style also exists in the Malfoy family, and it has been passed down through generations.
This style of clothing is only worn during ceremonies when a family member becomes the head of the Malfoy family!
But why is Vio wearing such clothes now? Isn't the Selwyn family patriarch in Azkaban? He doesn't understand. Although he specially wrote home tonight to ask Dobby, the Malfoy family's house-elf, to bring him a formal suit, he would never wear the clothes of the Malfoy patriarch!
So he asked, "Senior, what's this?"
"Didn't I say there's a banquet tonight? It's a big deal for me. I have to be prepared," Vio said with a smile, seemingly in a good mood.
The dinner party and this dress don't match at all. Having grown up in the pure wizarding world and with a relatively good family atmosphere, Malfoy simply couldn't understand what it meant.
It can only be said that if he had just looked at the history of the British Isles, he would understand what exactly happened this afternoon.
Vio opened his communicator, infused it with magic, and tapped it lightly, instantly creating a large light screen in front of him.
This ingenious magical artifact undoubtedly attracted the attention of all the little snakes in the common room. They had been watching Malfoy show off all afternoon, and their eyes ached with envy.
Those rich second-generation snakes secretly vowed that as soon as the luxury version was released, they would buy one even if it cost hundreds or thousands of Galleons.
Even ordinary snakes are planning to buy a slightly more expensive version from the budget options to show off their status.
Malfoy could never have imagined that his boasting would become a great marketing tactic, and that the Slytherin students would influence their parents, who in turn would drive the entire wizarding world forward.
He was very curious, but Vio wouldn't explain, so he could only ask, "When are we going to the dinner party? Where is it located?"
Before he could finish speaking, he discovered that his communicator had received a message.
He opened it and found that in the group categorized as adventurers, Vio had used a communicator to send a message to all members, asking them to gather outside the castle.
"I've already arranged leave for you. The principal and several deans have all agreed and said they'll go if they have time tonight," Vio said.
The two left.
The little snakes, left only to communicate with their eyes, kept imagining what had happened that could have made the principal and deans agree to a large group of people taking leave, especially since the principal and deans even said they would attend if they had time!
They immediately felt that the two men were very imposing when they saw their backs.
The little snakes pondered to themselves while keeping a slight distance from those self-important second-generation foodies.
After all, Voldemort has not appeared in the world for many years, while Ryan is at the height of his power, with Dumbledore providing strong support behind him. The current situation is quite clear.
When they arrived outside the castle, several members of Ravenclaw were already there.
Vio greeted Penelope: "The Ravenclaws and Slytherins are all here. Have you seen the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors?"
Penelope shook her head. After receiving the news, she had gathered several adventurers from Ravenclaw but had not informed the other two houses.
She thought of Hermione, the meticulous, earnest, and intelligent little Gryffindor witch, and figured Hermione wouldn't be late. "Miss Granger should remind the Gryffindors."
"As for Hufflepuff, Mr. Cedric is equally trustworthy."
Vio recalled the adventurer members from the other two academies and felt that Penelope was right, so he glanced at the time and waited quietly.
Before long, everyone heard Hermione urging them on, and the sounds of Percy, George, Harry, and the others running and responding.
"Hurry, hurry, everyone's waiting for us!"
"Oh my god, Hermione, there's no need to rush. We're going to a banquet, not to fight a war."
"That won't work either, everyone wait!"
The voices grew louder as they approached. Standing at the castle gate, everyone saw a group of people arriving, panting heavily.
"Thank goodness we're not too late, phew—we're not the last to arrive..." Hermione said breathlessly, hands on her knees. "Actually, you guys were the last to arrive because Hufflepuff's afternoon class is flying, and we weren't at school the whole time." An apologetic voice came from the side; it was Cedric and his group.
Seeing this, George and Fred started telling a comedy routine again.
"Apparition and Minion Manifestation are skills that not everyone here may possess," Vio interrupted. "So we created a new key to allow everyone to reach our banquet venue."
"What are Apparition and Manifestation?" Hermione's curiosity was piqued when she heard about magic she had never encountered before.
"A very, very, very convenient way to travel; wizards can use this magic to go wherever they want," Penelope replied.
She said, "But this method of travel is very dangerous. Only in higher grades is there a special course on Apparition, and you need to pass an exam to get a license to Apparate. Because if you make a mistake while casting the spell, it will cause your body to split."
Hermione nodded, seemingly understanding. She seemed to recall seeing a description of this in a book, which said that when a wizard casts a spell, if the spell is not cast properly, his upper body may be sent hundreds of miles away, while his lower body remains in the same place, and he can only die in pain and sorrow.
"And what is that key?"
"Port keys are also a way for wizards to travel. They lock onto a destination and allow for long-distance travel," Vio laughed. "Although making a Port key isn't too difficult, the Ministry of Magic is very strict about it. Every year, the Department of Magical Transportation catches many wizards abusing unauthorized Port keys."
"Now everyone put your hands on this door key." He said, while taking out a wooden stick or something similar.
When everyone had placed their hands on it.
Vio activated the key, and in the next instant, everyone felt as if their navel had been hooked by a grappling hook, and then they lost consciousness. A second or many seconds later, the world spun around them, and they found themselves in a magnificent manor.
The manor is magnificent and the flowerbeds are neatly arranged. Outside the manor, the scenery is beautiful, with a large, deserted lake. At this moment, it is a wonderful sight to see the setting sun shining into the blue lake.
"Welcome to Selwyn Manor," Vio said.
As he spoke, a house-elf suddenly appeared and bowed respectfully to him: "Your Excellency Vio."
Then he addressed the Hogwarts students who had arrived, saying, "And esteemed young masters and ladies, please follow me."
