Chapter 110 Doro Strikes
Adventurers' Club.
Various models playfully fight each other day after day.
It's as lively and active as the various instruments in Nicolas Flamel's home.
Normally, no other wizards come here. The little models or puppets stay in the vicinity of the Adventurers' Club because their magic power mainly comes from the magic circle set up in the Adventurers' Club.
There were also a few that went out on adventures, such as Doro who was taken out by someone, as well as wolf cub models and astronaut models.
But the commotion in the castle today alerted them. The little puppets ran out of the Adventurers' Club and found that the castle was on fire, and some unidentified stone statues and little wizards in a strange state were attacking the students.
"What should we do?" the wolf cub puppet asked.
As members of the Adventurers' Club security team, created by Ryan and possessing independent consciousness, they have a strong sense of belonging to both the Adventurers' Club and Hogwarts.
"The person is alright. We must save them," Doro said. "Lane anticipated these things and left behind weapons."
The astronaut spoke from his muffled helmet: "Good that you were prepared. What did Boss Ryan leave behind?"
Doro ran to the sofa in the Adventurers' Club, gritted his teeth, puffed out his chubby cheeks, and forcefully pushed the sofa away.
The tattooed young man, carrying a green long gun, stepped forward to lend a hand and together they pushed the sofa aside.
Under the sofa lay a broken sword. It wasn't broken in the middle; the broken sword only had the blade with dense blood grooves, but no hilt, only a small recessed joint.
Beside the broken sword, there was a short stick with intricate patterns engraved on one end, which fit perfectly into the joint at the bottom of the sword.
Doro painstakingly pieced the two together, forming a small, long spear, but for the tiny Doro, it was a spear several times the size of his own body.
"Gather!" She leaned on her greatsword, slammed it on the ground, and called upon all the puppets of the Adventurers' Club.
All sorts of goblins poured out from every corner of the Adventurer's Club room, dozens of goblins of various shapes and sizes lined up haphazardly opposite Doro: "Assembled!"
"Fellow countrymen!" Doro said in his childish voice, "The wizarding world may be vast, but we have nowhere to retreat! Because this is Hogwarts!"
The puppets also obliged, chanting slogans in varying degrees of disarray: "Defend Hogwarts! Protect Hogwarts!"
"Very well, then let's—..." Doro paused mid-sentence.
The puppets assumed the rally was over and applause broke out.
But then Doro pulled a small piece of paper from his tiny pocket, looked down at it for a moment, and then continued, "With one heart and one mind..."
With united will and concerted efforts, we will overcome these difficult times! Let us strive for a better tomorrow!
After confirming several times that Doro had finished speaking and hadn't forgotten her lines, and after she stopped speaking, the puppets gave a sparse round of applause.
"Let's go!" Doro shouted after the applause ended, brandishing a large gun that seemed disproportionate to her size.
The clever wolf cub grew a little bigger and became Doro's mount.
The man and the wolf were the first to rush out of the Adventurers' Club, followed by dozens of small puppets. They didn't look like they were about to start a war; they looked more like they were from Toy Story.
Faced with this onslaught of toy troops, the armored knight statue standing at the entrance of the Adventurers' Club slowly raised its sword.
It looked as if he was about to knock all these little toys away at any moment.
A ripping sound rang out, like the sound of cloth being torn.
The next instant, the armored knight statue found that its strength had completely disappeared, and the magic it had been given was also flowing away rapidly like water being released from a dam.
What happened? The armored knight, who had just gained intelligence and the ability to think, had no experience with various kinds of magic and was searching blankly for the reason for the problem.
Until he discovered a smooth, mirror-like crack on his calf.
He recalled that the crack was caused by the spear that the pink-haired doll riding the wolf toy had just stabbed him with.
But why would a single stab cause me to perish and end the magic cast upon me by that great one?
The armored knight lost his ability to move in a daze and turned back into a stone statue. Then the stone statue gradually disintegrated and broke into small pieces. A small pile of stones appeared where he had stood, until there was no trace of the armored knight sculpture anymore.
"Charge! We are invincible!" Doro shouted in a childish voice, waving his spear haphazardly.
Behind them, various magical puppets, some engaged in melee combat and others unleashed magic, swept through the enemy ranks, breaking through all obstacles and subjugating all who stood in their way.
The puppet army, averaging 30cm in height, turned the corner of the stairs and found a group of little wizards frantically using spells to defend against a knight statue in the corridor ahead.
The reason they were able to stop the knight statue was not because of any fancy magic, but because two young wizards were standing in front of it, their wrists interlocking with the stone knight statue.
But this was only temporary; the young wizards continued to retreat.
Neville and Hannah had no way to express their suffering, fearing that if they made a sound, their strength would be depleted.
Even though they had been diligently honing their power spells during this time, and even though their classmates behind them were using various spells to weaken the knight statues and enhance their power.
There is no doubt that humanity has its limits.
A body of flesh and blood can never compare to a body sculpted from minerals like marble or granite.
Neville even felt that if the statue opposite him had used just a little more force, he and Hannah would have been sent flying, and it would have been impossible for them to each control one of the earthen sculpture's arms like they were now.
Suddenly they heard screams from the young wizards behind them, screams filled with confusion rather than fear.
Before they could even begin to wonder what had happened, Neville felt something dart past his ankle.
Then, the sculpture that had been wrestling with the two of them lost all its strength and was thrown away by him and Hannah, crashing to the ground and turning into a pile of rubble.
He and Hannah looked at each other, and when they turned around, they found many small dolls on the ground, some of which were helping the young wizards heal their wounds.
Then they felt something tap their knees.
Neville looked down and saw a small pink creature riding on a wolf plush toy.
"Humans, you have incredible strength!" Doro exclaimed.
The little pink thing can talk? I feel like I've heard it somewhere before—Neville recalled that in the Raffindor common room, the Weasley brothers, Harry Potter, and Hermione Granger had talked about this little thing called Doro when they were discussing which model in the Adventurers' Club was the cutest.
But to take down a living stone sculpture that is dozens or even hundreds of times her own size with just one move, how can that be considered cute?
It must be dangerous!
"Hello, my name is Neville Longbottom. Professor Lane once taught Hannah and me a power spell, which is why we are so strong." He said honestly, and a pink, egg-shaped golem with arms and legs stepped forward to treat him and Hannah.
"So you're Ryan's student!" Doro nodded knowingly. "Do you know the specific reasons for this fire and enemy attack?"
