"It really is Shizuka!"
Nanrika looked at Takagi Yuriko excitedly, "Madam! It's Shizuka's voice! She's still alive!"
A hint of surprise and joy flashed in Yuriko Takagi's eyes, but more than that, it was wariness.
"Who are those people outside? How many of them are there? How did they get here?"
A series of questions revealed her caution.
Outside the door, Zhou Ye lost his patience.
"I am Zhou Ye. Open the door. Or, we can come in ourselves."
His voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable coldness.
"If the door does not open within five seconds, we will treat it as a hostile target and [eliminate] all active units in the classroom."
"Countdown begins, five..."
Inside the classroom, the atmosphere instantly plummeted to freezing point.
Jack, Oda, and the others nervously raised their guns and pointed them at the door.
The students were terrified.
"Madmen! They're madmen!"
A boy screamed.
Nanri Kaori suddenly gritted her teeth and said to Takagi Yuriko:
"Madam! Open the door! I trust Shizuka! Besides... the people outside are definitely not ordinary people! And they are the familiar Tohsaka Kazuya. They must have something to back up their words!"
“Four…” Zhou Ye’s voice continued.
Yuriko Takagi took a deep breath, a resolute glint in her eyes.
"Open the door!"
“But madam…” Jack wanted to say something more.
"Excuting an order!"
Yuriko Takagi said sternly.
Nan Lixiang immediately stepped forward and, together with the other two bodyguards, hurriedly moved the tables and chairs blocking the door.
"three two……"
[Click—Squeak—]
The classroom door was suddenly pulled open.
Outside the door, Zhou Ye stood at the front with a blank expression.
Behind him stood twelve fully armed mechanical soldiers, their guns flashing red, radiating a chilling killing intent.
Nami and Saeko Busujima stood on either side, while Shizuka Marikawa looked excitedly into the room.
Inside the door, Yuriko Takagi, Saya Takagi, Rika Minami, and a group of still-shaken students and bodyguards also saw what was happening outside.
The air freezes.
"Rika!" Shizuka Marikawa was the first to rush in, hugging Rika Minami tightly and bursting into tears.
“Shizuka! I’m so glad you’re alright! Waaah…” Minami Rika hugged her tightly back, tears streaming down her face.
Zhou Ye's gaze swept over the people in the classroom.
Yuriko Takashiro, still possessing her former charm and the air of a superior, could not hide her exhaustion and shock at this moment.
Saya Takagi, the genius girl, was scrutinizing them with a critical eye, especially the mechanical soldiers. Although they were covered in military uniforms and various weapons, their calmness was unlike that of ordinary people.
Nanri Kaori, a hot female bodyguard, is currently immersed in the joy of reuniting with her friend.
There were also several armed male bodyguards and a group of trembling students.
"A bunch of burdens," Zhou Ye thought to himself.
Yuriko Takagi pushed her daughter aside, stepped forward, and looked directly at Zhou Ye.
"Ms. Zhou, Ms. Tohsaka, thank you for saving Shizuka and getting us out of trouble. But where are we going next?"
Her tone was tentative and wary.
Zhou Ye spoke calmly.
"Urban soil".
Chapter 62 In the Apocalypse, Might Makes the Decision
Zhou Ye glanced at the pile of zombie corpses outside the classroom, then looked back at Takashiro Yuriko.
"Urban area".
Upon hearing those two words, Yuriko Takashiro's beautiful eyes widened.
She almost thought she had heard it wrong.
"What? The city center?"
Yuriko Takashiro raised her voice.
"This place has become a living hell. Isn't the city even more dangerous? Teacher Zhou, are you crazy?"
Behind her, Saya Takagi couldn't help but speak up: "Hey! The population density in the city is much higher than in the academy. Going there now is no different from suicide."
Nanri Kaori frowned as well:
"Teacher Zhou, the situation in the city is probably a hundred times worse than here."
Zhou Ye shrugged helplessly.
“I have some friends (referring to Jill) in the city.”
"Some things (referring to the points accumulation) have not been dealt with."
He paused for a moment, then continued:
"Moreover, it is no longer safe to leave by vehicle."
"We encountered a special mutated zombie in faculty dormitory building number 6."
Yuriko Takagi pressed further: "Special mutated zombies?"
Zhou Ye briefly described the terrifying power of the [Tank], the disgusting explosion of the [Obese], and the agile, swarming zombie monkeys.
"Zombie monkey?"
Saya Takagi's face turned deathly pale instantly.
"Raccoon City Zoo is less than 15 kilometers away from Fujimi Academy as the crow flies."
Nanri Kaori gasped:
"If monkeys turn into that, what about black bears? Elephants? Lions and tigers?"
If these large predators were also infected with the T-virus and underwent genetic mutations, their destructive power would be unimaginable.
Yuriko Takagi swayed, her face turning ashen.
She knew better than anyone else about Umbrella's influence in the city, and also knew some of the untold inside stories.
This company brought her immense wealth, but also devastating disaster.
"Those bastards from Umbrella!"
Yuriko Takagi cursed under her breath. Even though she had benefited a lot from Umbrella, when it came to life and death, she still had to curse.
She looked at Zhou Ye with a complicated expression.
"If what you said, Teacher Zhou, is true, and those monsters really exist, then even riding a school bus could be risky due to the risk of it overturning."
Do you have any other evacuation vehicles?
Zhou Ye nodded.
"some."
"Three police armored vehicles were parked on the playground."
"Each vehicle can seat about 10 people."
Yuriko Takagi quickly calculated in her mind.
On Zhou Ye's side, she saw Zhou Ye, Nami, Saeko Busujima, Shizuka Marikawa, and the eleven silent mechanical soldiers.
There are sixteen people.
Here she was, along with her daughter Saya, three bodyguards including Nanri Kaori and Jack, and more than thirty surviving students in the classroom.
There were nearly forty people in total.
That makes a total of fifty-six people.
Three police armored vehicles, capable of carrying up to thirty people.
There are still 25 positions to go.
This number weighed heavily on Yuriko Takagi's heart like a boulder.
The students in the classroom also heard the conversation, and some of the more restless ones began to stir.
"Armored vehicles? Great! We're saved!"
"But...it seems like there aren't enough seats?"
"What should we do then? Who should go first?"
A boy dressed in designer clothes, who looked like he came from a well-off family, squeezed to the front and said urgently to Yuriko Takashiro, "Principal! My dad is City Councilor Takahashi! You have to let me get on the bus first!"
Another girl cried out, "I don't want to die! Let me on the bus!"
"Quiet!"
Jack roared and drew his pistol, pointing it at the restless students.
