Jill looked at this and then at that, feeling like her brain wasn't quite up to the task.
Saeko Busujima remained vigilant, sensing that Akeno Himejima emanated an aura that was not that of an ordinary human.
Nami still had that "I love watching the drama unfold" expression, but there was a hint of inquiry in her eyes.
"So, how long will they stay here?"
Himejima Akeno ultimately backed down, or rather, changed the subject.
Zhou Ye smiled faintly.
"Maybe soon, maybe for a while."
"It depends on many things."
His gaze swept over Nami, Saeko Busujima, Gilles, and the others.
"At least, this is where they can stay until they find a suitable place to go."
Himejima Akeno gently bit her lower lip.
She knew that continuing to argue would be pointless.
Zhou Ye's attitude is already very clear.
"Ok."
She managed a forced smile, though it looked somewhat stiff.
"Since Zhou Yejun has said so, I believe you."
After saying that, she gave Zhou Ye a deep look, then glanced meaningfully at Nami and Saeko Busujima before turning to leave.
"Akeno."
Zhou Ye suddenly called out to her.
Himejima Akeno stopped and looked back.
"I don't want today's events to reach other people's ears. For now..."
Zhu Nai nodded immediately, then offered a word of advice at the end:
"Zhou Ye, we both know what happened to us when we were young. Without enough power to protect what's important, all we'll have left is regret."
She opened the door and went out.
The tense atmosphere in the room eased slightly after the door closed.
Nami whistled.
"Tsk tsk, boss, you've got quite the luck with women."
Saeko Busujima withdrew her hand from the hilt of her sword.
Zhou Ye ignored Nami's teasing and walked straight to the window, watching Himejima Akeno's departing figure, lost in thought.
Chapter 80 Arrangement, Reading
Zhou Ye watched Himejima Akeno's figure disappear around the corner of the stairs before turning his gaze away.
The atmosphere in the room still carried a slightly strange feel because of the little incident that had just happened.
Nami crossed her arms and leaned against the back of the sofa, a mischievous smile on her face.
"Boss, that's impressive. You've only been here a short time and girls are already fighting over you."
"It's none other than Akeno Himejima, a famous beauty from Kooh Academy."
Saeko Busujima stood quietly to the side, wiping a non-existent scabbard. She had no interest in such matters of love between men and women, but she paid more attention to the inhuman aura emanating from Akeno Himejima.
Jill seemed a little awkward, looking around as if she had stumbled into some strange theater.
Zhou Ye ignored Nami's teasing, walked to the sofa, sat down, and poured himself a glass of water.
"She's just Rias's 'Queen,' it's just a routine matter."
He spoke casually, as if the confrontation just now was merely an insignificant interlude.
Nami raised an eyebrow.
"Routine procedure? I don't think so."
"The way that senior student Zhu Nai looked at you didn't seem like she was just going through the motions."
Zhou Ye put down his water glass, looked at everyone, and his expression returned to its usual calm.
"lets change a topic."
"I have a suggestion regarding our next steps."
Shizuka Marikawa curiously leaned closer.
"Oh? What's the arrangement?"
Nanri also cast her 647 gazes of attention.
Zhou Ye's gaze lingered on Nami and Saeko Busujima for a moment.
"I think, Nami, why don't you and Saeko Busujima come to school with me?"
"Don't be fooled by the fact that we played teachers in the previous world. In this world, Nami is unemployed, I'm a senior in high school, and Saeko Busujima also happens to be a senior in high school."
After these words were spoken, an eerie silence fell over the room.
Nami's beautiful eyes widened instantly. She pointed to her nose and raised her voice eight octaves.
"Boss, you're not kidding, are you?"
"Me? Go back to school? Or even senior year of high school?"
She looked herself up and down, then at Zhou Ye, her face filled with disbelief.
Saeko Busujima was also stunned. Her hand holding the hilt of the sword paused slightly, and her delicate eyebrows furrowed, clearly surprised by the suggestion.
The thought of her sitting in class with a group of ordinary students at school is just jarring.
Jill, Nanri Kaori, and Shizuka Marikawa also looked on in astonishment.
Let Nami and Saeko Busujima, two women who don't look like ordinary high school students at all, go to school? Zhou Ye's ideas are always so unexpected.
Finally, Nami spoke up softly.
"Boss, you mean I should let you go to your senior year of high school? At your school?"
Zhou Ye nodded, his expression serious.
"Yes, Nami is only 19 years old."
Upon hearing this, Shizuka Marikawa and Rika Nan simultaneously focused their gazes on Nami's alluring curves.
A silent exchange rippled through them: Is this really the development of a 19-year-old? What did she eat to grow up like this?
They also knew a little about some of Zhou Ye's unusual "hobbies".
Nami felt those two meaningful gazes, her lips twitched, but she still managed to hold back her anger.
Zhou Ye continued to explain.
"Komao Academy is the school I currently attend."
"At Kuoh Academy, there are two pure-blooded demon princesses whose families provide money, manpower, and resources. On the surface, it is an ordinary human academy, but in reality, it is a series of academies established by the demon families for the two of them to grow and learn in the human world."
"Rias Gremory is one, and the other is the student council president, Sona Shide. Or perhaps it's Sona Shide."
"Given their family's resources, they have no shortage of human magic books, even some basic knowledge of demonic magic. They also possess human magic knowledge, as well as lost human swordsmanship techniques, and so on."
He looked at Nami and Saeko Busujima.
"Your current power system is similar to that of this world."
"To quickly integrate and improve your strength, understanding the rules and power system of this world is the first step."
“Schools, especially special places like Komao Academy, are a good starting point.”
Nanri Kaori rested her chin on her hand, lost in thought.
"Indeed, the larger the family, the more knowledge they possess. This is true for humans, let alone demon families that have existed for thousands or even tens of thousands of years."
"But surely there's nothing evil or blasphemous in this collection, my lord?"
She looked at Zhou Ye with a questioning gaze.
Don't forget, in movies and games, demonic things are always depicted as seductive, evil, and blasphemous; this world will be no different.
Zhou Ye smiled easily.
"No, if there were such a thing, I wouldn't trade with them; I would simply keep my distance."
"Demons may have a bad reputation, but they also need order, especially in an era of biblical pantheon civil war and the rise of various mythological powers."
Saeko Busujima was silent for a moment before asking a question.
"Can you learn anything useful at school?"
She was more concerned with improving actual combat effectiveness.
Zhou Ye answered affirmatively.
"of course."
"Besides book knowledge, intelligence and connections are even more important."
"Understanding your opponent is the key to defeating them."
"Furthermore, Kuoh Academy itself is home to many supernatural beings, which will be beneficial for you to adapt to this world."
Jill had been listening quietly, and now she asked a crucial question.
"But what's the price?"
She was willing to come into this world with Zhou Ye, and like Saeko Busujima, Rika Minami, and Shizuka Marikawa, her soul was marked with his imprint, but she still maintained her own thoughts.
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Acquiring knowledge from the devil will inevitably come at a price.
Zhou Ye gave Jill an approving look.
