Understanding the wisdom of the sages and gaining insights from our predecessors through these murals was even more important to them than the advancement of their own cultivation.
Led by the young Taoist, Lu Xuan paid his respects to each of the various palaces, since Lu Zu was considered half his master, and he couldn't be disrespectful.
Finally, they stopped in front of a closed hall.
"Senior brother, since you want to see for yourself, I won't stay any longer!"
The young Taoist led Lu Xuan to the front of the main hall, where they stopped.
After bowing slightly to Lu Xuan, the young Taoist turned and left.
Taoist priests do not follow seniority when they go out, after all, there are many branches and different sects with long-standing traditions, and the seniority varies.
If they are not from the same lineage, people of similar age will at most address each other as "Senior Brother" or "Fellow Daoist" when they meet. "Brother Daoist" is a respectful term, and older or more respected people will at most call each other "Master Daoist".
Only those who share the same lineage and master will strictly follow the rules.
But in reality, society has developed now. Taoist priests don't die in the mountains; they live in seclusion. They have progressed along with society.
Nowadays, even the Taoist priests themselves are too lazy to deal with these cumbersome formalities.
Aside from the most basic etiquette, there's only one extra sentence: Master Dao can do whatever he wants!
"Thank you, junior brother."
Creak! The heavy hall doors were slowly pushed open.
A touch of true qi ignited at his fingertips, illuminating the entire dark hall with a soft glow.
What unfolds before you is not just a magnificent mural, but a vast and boundless world.
"The Court of the Emperor"
Lu Xuan used the light from his hand as a lamp, and under the light, his shadow was infinitely elongated and projected onto the wall, as if he had become part of the mural.
They raise their torches to the Yuan Dynasty, glancing upwards with sidelong glances.
His profile casts a shadow, like that of an immortal.
The drawing of the Celestial Master Chaoyuan is really handsome!
Walking slowly, Lu Xuan stopped every now and then, not knowing how long he walked or when he finished looking at all the murals.
Lu Xuan seemed to have stepped into this magnificent scroll depicting the Taoist gods paying homage to the Primordial Heavenly Venerable.
A profound sense of history and boundless truths washes over you.
Then Lu Xuan took a step forward and quietly entered the painting.
Lu Xuan gleaned insights from the murals from the wisdom left by the ancients, gaining a comprehensive understanding and taking another step forward on his path of seeking the Dao.
Wudang, belonging to the Quanzhen School, cultivates internal alchemy. Lu Zu was the founder of the Dan Ding School, which gave rise to the later Jin Dan School, a lineage of Taoist cultivation.
The Golden Elixir lineage cultivates both nature and life, but always prioritizes nature before life.
The Longmen lineage emphasizes cultivating one's sexual energy to its extreme, reaching the realm of Yang Shen (the spirit of the yang), and then using spiritual consciousness to guide the fusion of life and death, and the communion between heaven and man.
Lu Xuanxue learned the original Dan Ding School's philosophy passed down by Lü Zu, and also incorporated Wudang's internal alchemy and health preservation techniques, but he could not escape the category of internal alchemy.
All of one's life cultivation is contained in this "golden elixir" formed from the condensation of essence, energy, and spirit.
In the initial stage, the lower dantian is used as a furnace: refining essence into qi.
Later, he used his abdomen as a furnace and his head as a cauldron: to refine qi and transform it into spirit.
Then, using heaven and earth as a furnace, one can refine the spirit and return to emptiness.
Finally, one uses body and mind as a furnace: refining emptiness and uniting with the Dao.
"既" means to shatter the void.
If there is any stagnation after entering the realm of nothingness, it still cannot be considered as transcending the constraints of "action". True harmony with the Dao should transcend all stagnation of action.
The refinement of emptiness and the union with the Dao represent the ultimate perfection, transcending the realm of emptiness and reality, uniting with the Dao, and achieving the state of non-action and non-doing: attaining the Dao.

Lu Xuan felt his spirit merge with heaven and earth, his heart filled with boundless joy, yet also with utter peace, as if his entire being were one with the universe.
I also felt that my spirit was like tentacles, extending infinitely to every corner of heaven and earth, connecting with the Great Dao.
This is a level that Lu Xuan could not reach before.
Previously, Lu Xuan considered himself to be unparalleled in cultivation. After obtaining the inheritance of Lu Zu, he believed that he had no rivals in the world when it came to combat.
Ultimately, however, one cannot completely equate the understanding of principles with the numerical value of one's life cultivation; his understanding of rules and principles is ultimately inferior.
There's a feeling that I'm invincible now, but I don't feel like I'm invincible yet.
At this moment, he could feel that he had merged with the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, reaching the highest realm of refining emptiness and uniting with the Dao.
Shatter the void, merge with the vast emptiness, transcend the tangible into the intangible, and transcend heaven and earth.
Lu Xuan's spirit was drawn away from heaven and earth, awakening from the state of being one with heaven and earth, transforming into all things in the world.
Then, Lu Xuan slowly walked out of the mural and re-entered the main hall.
The moment Lu Xuan stepped out of the mural, his aura emanated and connected with heaven and earth, triggering a surge of righteous energy.
As darkness suddenly gave way to light, thunder rumbled.
With each step, the breath dissipates, returning to simplicity and harmony with nature.
Lu Xuan seems to have completely become an ordinary person who is good for nothing except being handsome.
"I have everything I need now."
The palace buildings were solemn and majestic. Inside the dark hall, Liu Zhenguo, who was squatting in a corner, swallowed hard.
Liu Zhenguo: “(;?Д?)”
What's wrong? I suddenly feel really panicked.
Logically speaking, since he had truly reached the realm of transcending the mortal realm, no one should be able to see through him.
Why do I suddenly have this feeling of being discovered?
Chapter Twenty-Five: People Must Always Learn to Revere
Since reaching his current level of cultivation, Liu Zhenguo believes he has become indifferent to everything.
A calm mind remains undisturbed even if the sky falls.
He is different from the Old Celestial Master, who appears to have entered the secular world but is actually detached from it.
He walks the path of engagement with the world, seemingly detached from worldly affairs, but in reality, he engages in worldly cultivation and is tainted by the mortal realm.
This intervention was also due to Zhao Fangxu's request. As the chairman of Nadutong Company, Zhao Fangxu wields extremely vast resources and power.
The reason they could ask for help was because they were disciples of Wudang, who also belonged to the Quanzhen lineage.
Liu Zhenguo originally did not want to take it on, as he had a high degree of autonomy.
Until I heard Zhao Fangxu say that he could disappear a thousand miles under the moonlight...
Liu Zhenguo: "..."
With such cultivation, it seems necessary for him to examine good and evil.
There was also the Soul Slayer who traversed thousands of miles and simultaneously wiped out 87 members of the Quanxing sect across the country.
Liu Zhenguo: “( ̄~ ̄;)”
It's alright, it seems I really do need to take action.
And then there was the one that destroyed a satellite far away in outer space...
Liu Zhenguo: “(⊙﹏⊙') ”
Wait a minute, wait a minute.
This isn't right, is it? Something's not right here, is it?
The first two can also be understood as means to support one's cultivation of life to a certain level.
After all, the Quanzhen Longmen sect mainly cultivates internal alchemy, and they possess a considerable number of strange and wondrous supernatural abilities and techniques.
For example, the dream cultivation method I practiced, which allowed me to understand the profound mysteries through dreams, was considered by my fellow Quanzhen disciples to be a method akin to that of an immortal.
When one's cultivation of life force reaches a certain level, neither escape techniques nor killing across thousands of miles becomes difficult.
The Fire Virtue Sect can traverse thousands of miles by disappearing into fire, and the Golden Escape Flowing Light is also known as the fastest speed in the world.
Miao witchcraft, or some strange arts of Taoism and unorthodox sects, can all kill people invisibly, regardless of distance.
But isn't it a bit excessive to launch a man-made military satellite that can travel thousands of miles and explode in outer space from Earth?
Fortunately, Zhao Fangxu made a guarantee, merely expressing friendliness and demonstrating the company's attitude.
Liu Zhenguo was relieved and in his dream, his spirit appeared at Yongle Palace.
The method of dream cultivation, which is both real and unreal, is perfect for observation.
But what's going on now?
When Liu Zhenguo arrived, Lu Xuan had already disappeared; he could only sense the residual Qi of Lu Xuan on the mural.
Just as they were about to enter the mural to find out what was going on, they saw Lu Xuan walk out of the mural.
How can one describe Liu Zhenguo's feeling when he saw Lu Xuan's state of perfect harmony with nature as Lu Xuan walked out of the mural?
It's like you're a dragon, but you push open the door and see a fully powered Shendu walking out, only to realize you're not Jackie Chan, Valmont, or Blade Dragon, but a little devil dragon...
Liu Zhenguo: "..."
Am I really going to be discovered?
Liu Zhenguo suddenly felt uneasy and uncomfortable, as if he had been seen through.
Seeing that Lu Xuan was looking in his direction, he silently took a step to the left.
Lu Xuan: "(¬_¬)"
Lu Xuan: “(???)”
How about we move another step?
